Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the clock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish.
Battery Replacement
When the clock's movement slows or the cuckoo chime becomes weak or stops, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the Setup section.
Troubleshooting
- Clock not keeping accurate time:
Check if the batteries are inserted correctly and have sufficient power. Replace batteries if necessary. Ensure the hands are not obstructed. - Cuckoo not chiming:
Verify that the batteries are fresh. Check if the room is dark; the light sensor will prevent chiming in low light. Ensure the time is set correctly, as the cuckoo mechanism is synchronized with the clock's time. - Cuckoo chiming at incorrect times:
This may occur if the clock hands were adjusted without allowing the cuckoo mechanism to cycle. To re-synchronize, set the clock to 12:00. Let the cuckoo chime the correct number of times for 12:00. Then, manually advance the minute hand clockwise to the current time, allowing the cuckoo to chime at each hour.
