1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.

4. Setup and First Use

Initial Cleaning

  1. Remove all packaging materials and labels from the coffee maker.
  2. Wipe the exterior surface with a damp, non-abrasive cloth.
  3. Remove the drip tray and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  4. Clean the water reservoir and K-Cup pod holder by rinsing them with clean water.

First Brew Cycle (Cleaning Cycle)

Before brewing coffee for the first time, perform a cleaning cycle to flush out any manufacturing residues:

  1. Place the coffee maker on a stable, flat surface.
  2. Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the 14oz (MAX) line.
  3. Ensure no K-Cup pod is inserted in the holder.
  4. Place a large mug or container on the drip tray to collect the hot water.
  5. Close the lid and press the brew button. The machine will begin heating and dispensing hot water.
  6. Once the cycle is complete, discard the hot water. Your coffee maker is now ready for use.

5. Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee

Follow these steps to brew a perfect cup of coffee:

  1. Add Water: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water. Use the internal measurement lines (6oz, 8oz, 10oz, 12oz, 14oz MAX) to select your desired brew size and coffee strength.
  2. Insert K-Cup Pod: Lift the handle and place a standard K-Cup pod into the pod holder. Ensure it is seated correctly.
  3. Close Lid: Firmly close the lid until it clicks into place. This will pierce the K-Cup pod.
  4. Place Mug: Position your coffee mug on the drip tray. For travel mugs up to 6.6 inches tall, remove the drip tray.
  5. Start Brewing: Press the brew button. The indicator light will illuminate, and the brewing process will begin. Your coffee will be ready in approximately 3 minutes at an optimal temperature of 185°F.
  6. Enjoy: Once brewing is complete, the light will turn off. Carefully remove your hot coffee.

Cleaning Steps:

  1. Clean the Surface: Wipe the coffee maker with a damp, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. Never immerse it in water. After brewing, wipe any steam condensation off the back panel with a dry cloth.
  2. Clean the Water Reservoir and Filter Components: Clean the tank and filter with a damp, non-abrasive cloth and mild soap. Rinse well to prevent residue. Avoid cloth on tank interior to prevent lint. Air dry fully. NOTE: The removable water tank is dishwasher-safe.
  3. Clean the Drip Tray: After each use, empty the drip tray and wipe it with a damp, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth to prevent overflow or odors. NOTE: The removable drip tray is dishwasher-safe.
  4. Clean the Piercing Needle and Needle in the Pod Holder Bottom: Use an unbent paperclip to clear the needles in the pod holder. Clean after each use to prevent clogs. CAUTION: Needles are sharp – handle carefully to avoid injury.

7. Troubleshooting
