7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your NEOHIPO TP10 Phono Preamp, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the unit. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
  • Placement: Place the preamp on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  • Cable Connections: Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure. Loose connections can lead to signal loss or interference.
  • Power Supply: Always use the provided 12V power adapter. Using an incorrect power supply can damage the unit and void the warranty.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your NEOHIPO TP10 Phono Preamp, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

No Sound Output:
  • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and the unit is powered on (mode indicator light is illuminated).
  • Verify that all RCA cables are correctly connected to the "MM INPUT" from the turntable and "OUTPUT" to your amplifier/speakers.
  • Check the volume level on the TP10 and your connected amplifier/speakers.
  • Confirm that your turntable's internal preamp (if any) is switched off, as running two preamps in series can cause distortion or no sound.
  • Test with different RCA cables or headphones to rule out faulty accessories.
Distorted Sound:
  • Reduce the volume on the TP10 and your amplifier/speakers.
  • Ensure the turntable's output is compatible with an MM phono input.
  • Check for proper grounding. Connect the turntable's ground wire to the "GND" terminal on the TP10.
  • Inspect RCA cables for damage or loose connections.
Humming or Buzzing Noise:
  • Ensure the turntable's ground wire is properly connected to the "GND" terminal on the TP10.
  • Try moving the TP10 or associated cables away from other electronic devices that might cause interference.
  • Check if the power adapter is securely connected and not faulty.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, please contact customer support.
