- Follow the on-screen instructions to select your desired operating mode and configure network settings.
3.1. Repeater Mode Setup:
- After logging into the web interface, select 'Repeater Mode'.
- The device will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your main Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter the password for your main Wi-Fi network.
- You can choose to keep the same SSID (network name) or create a new one for the extended network.
- Click 'Apply' or 'Save' to complete the setup. The device will restart.
- Relocate the repeater to a position between your router and the Wi-Fi dead zone, ensuring it receives a good signal from your main router.
3.2. Router Mode Setup:
- Connect your ADSL modem's Ethernet cable to the WAN port of the LV-WR09.
- In the web interface, select 'Router Mode'.
- Configure your internet connection type (e.g., PPPoE, Dynamic IP, Static IP) as provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

- In the web interface, select 'AP Mode'.
- Configure your desired Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password for the new access point.
- Click 'Apply' or 'Save'. The device will restart and broadcast a new Wi-Fi network using the wired connection.
3.4. WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):
For quick setup in Repeater Mode, if your main router supports WPS:
- Plug in the LV-WR09 near your main router.
- Press the WPS button on your main router.
- Within two minutes, press the WPS button on the LV-WR09.
- The devices will automatically connect and configure the repeater. The repeater's Wi-Fi name will typically be your main network's name with '_EXT' appended.
4. Operating Modes
The PIX-LINK LV-WR09 offers versatile operating modes to suit various networking needs:
- Repeater Mode: Extends the range of an existing wireless network. It connects to your main router wirelessly and re-broadcasts the signal, eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones.
- Router Mode: Functions as a primary wireless router. Connects to a modem via an Ethernet cable (WAN port) to create a new private wireless network for your home or office.
- Access Point (AP) Mode: Transforms a wired network into a wireless one. It connects to an existing wired router or network switch via an Ethernet cable (LAN/WAN port) and broadcasts a new Wi-Fi signal.
- Client Mode: Allows wired devices (e.g., smart TV, gaming console) to connect to a wireless network. The device receives the wireless signal and provides internet access to the wired device via its Ethernet port.
- WISP Mode: (Wireless Internet Service Provider) Allows the device to connect wirelessly to an ISP's network and share that connection with multiple devices, acting as a client and router simultaneously.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your PIX-LINK LV-WR09, try the following common solutions:
- No Power: Ensure the device is securely plugged into a working power outlet. Check if the power LED is on.
- No Internet Connection (Repeater Mode):
- Ensure the repeater is placed within good signal range of your main router.
- Verify that your main router has an active internet connection.
- Check if you entered the correct Wi-Fi password for your main network during setup.
- Try restarting both the repeater and your main router.
- Cannot Access Web Management Page:
- Ensure your device is connected to the repeater's Wi-Fi network or via an Ethernet cable.
- Verify the IP address entered in the browser (e.g., http://192.168.1.254 or http://pixlink.net).
- Clear your browser's cache or try a different browser.
- Slow Speed:
- Relocate the repeater closer to your main router to improve signal strength.
- Avoid placing the device near obstructions or interference sources (e.g., microwaves, cordless phones).
- Ensure your main router is providing adequate speed.
- Factory Reset: If problems persist, you can perform a factory reset. With the device powered on, use a pin to press and hold the reset button (usually a small hole) for about 5-10 seconds until the LEDs flash. The device will revert to its default settings.
