Setup Guide

1. Battery Installation

  1. Main Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
  2. Outdoor Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor. Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely to maintain weather resistance.

2. Automatic Pairing

Once batteries are installed in both units, the main unit will automatically search for and pair with the outdoor sensor. This process may take a few minutes. Ensure both units are within range during initial setup.

3. Sensor Placement

For accurate outdoor readings and to prolong the sensor's lifespan, consider the following:

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries in the respective unit (main unit or outdoor sensor). Always use new batteries of the specified type (AAA for main unit, AA for outdoor sensor) and ensure correct polarity.

Cleaning

Wipe the main unit and outdoor sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, or corrosive chemicals, as these can damage the plastic casing or display. Ensure the outdoor sensor's battery compartment is sealed after cleaning.

Sensor Care

Periodically check the outdoor sensor for any debris or obstructions that might affect its readings. Ensure it remains in a location protected from extreme weather conditions like heavy downpours or prolonged direct sunlight.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No display on main unit.Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted.Replace batteries with new ones, ensuring correct polarity.
Outdoor temperature/humidity not displayed or inaccurate.
  • Outdoor sensor batteries are dead.
  • Sensor is out of range or obstructed.
  • Sensor is exposed to direct sunlight/rain.
  • Sensor channel not matched.
  • Replace outdoor sensor batteries.
  • Move sensor closer to the main unit or remove obstructions.
  • Relocate sensor to a shaded, protected area.
  • Ensure the main unit and sensor are on the same channel.
Weather forecast seems inaccurate.Weather forecast is a simulation based on internal algorithms, not real-time barometric pressure changes. The weather forecast is an estimation for the next 12-24 hours and may not always align perfectly with actual conditions, especially in rapidly changing weather patterns. It is not based on barometric pressure.
Backlight does not stay on.Designed to turn off automatically. The backlight is designed to turn off after 10 seconds to save battery life. This is normal operation.
