1. Product Overview

2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Unboxing the Safe

Carefully remove the safe and all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the packing list are present.

2.2 Battery Installation

Before initial use, install 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment. We recommend using new, high-quality batteries for optimal performance. Under regular circumstances, four AA batteries should power the safe for 6-8 months.

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the side of the safe.
2. Slide the battery cover to the left to open it.
3. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Slide the cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2.3 Mounting the Safe

The MAXSafes 10005V-new can be installed underneath a desk surface or placed on top of a desk. Follow the instructions below for your preferred installation method.

2.3.1 Under-Desk Installation

1. Open the safe using the mechanical key.
2. Pull out the drawer by pressing the switches on both sides of the rail.
3. Place the provided installation guide paper on the desired position underneath the desk. Ensure Side A faces the opening side of the safe.
4. Mark the six drilling holes and drill.
5. Align the six holes on the bracket with the drilled holes and install the bracket on the desk with the provided ST 4.8*12 bolts.
6. Slowly slide the body of the safe into the bracket with the opening side facing out.
7. Make sure the pre-drilled holes on the safe align with the pre-drilled holes on the bracket and slowly release the safe.
8. Push the body of the safe further into the bottom of the bracket (approximately 5mm).
9. Align both sides of the drawer with the sliding rail and install it to the body of the safe.

2.3.2 On-Desk Installation

1. Open the safe using the mechanical key.
2. Pull out the drawer by pressing the switches on both sides of the rail.
3. Remove the bracket from the housing by pushing the bracket backward.
4. Install the four landing pads included in the package to the four corners on the bottom of the safe to prevent potential damage to your desk surface.
5. Place the installation guide paper on the desired position on the desk. Ensure Side A faces the opening side of the safe.
6. Mark the three drilling holes and drill.
7. Install one ST 4.8*18 screw on the center hole position, leaving out 8-9mm from the installation surface.
8. Slowly release the safe until the landing pads make contact with the desk surface.
9. Push the safe forward until the screw fits into the pre-drilled hole.
10. Adjust the installation position and install screws on the other two pre-drilled holes.
11. Align the safe drawer with the rails and install it to the body of the safe.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Registering Your Passcode

To register or change your passcode:

1. Open the safe using the mechanical key.
2. Locate the registration button inside the safe.
3. Input your desired passcode twice, pressing the registration button after each input to confirm.
4. A long beep indicates successful registration/change.

3.2 Registering Your Vein IDs

The safe uses advanced finger vein recognition for secure access. Follow these steps to register your Vein IDs:

1. Open the safe with the mechanical key and locate the registration button.
2. Press the registration button and scan your finger 3 times.
3. Each scan will be followed by a yellow light flashing and a single beep.
4. After the third scan, you will hear a long beep, indicating your Vein ID has been successfully recorded.

Important Tips for Vein ID Registration:

• Ensure placing your finger deeply inside the module and keep touching the blue area during registration.
• Must always make sure you keep your finger in the same position while registering.
• We recommend registering the same finger multiple times at slightly different angles to maximize reading accuracy.
• When scanning your Vein ID, please do not bend or twist your finger.

3.3 Silent Mode

Silent Mode allows for discreet operation without audio feedback during passcode input or Vein ID scanning.

1. To activate/deactivate Silent Mode, hold down the button "1" on the keypad.
2. When Silent Mode is activated, passcode input and Vein ID scanning will not produce audio feedback.

3.4 Alarm Mode

The Alarm Mode provides an additional layer of security by activating an alarm after multiple incorrect access attempts.

1. Alarm Mode will be activated after 5 incorrect inputs (passcode or Vein ID scans).
2. To deactivate Alarm Mode, open the safe with the mechanical key.
