1. Product Overview

The LEXiBOOK Powerman Rover is an interactive remote-controlled robot designed to provide entertainment and educational value. It features remote and gesture control, music and dance functions, voice repetition, light and sound effects, and STEM programming capabilities.

2. Safety Information

3. What's in the Box

  • 1 Powerman Rover Robot
  • 1 Remote Control

4. Setup and Battery Installation

  1. Remove the Powerman Rover robot and its remote control from the packaging.
  2. Locate the battery compartment on the robot.
  3. Insert 4 AA batteries into the robot, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Locate the battery compartment on the remote control.
  5. Insert the required batteries into the remote control, ensuring correct polarity.
  6. Close both battery compartments securely.

Note: Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the robot, locate the power switch (usually on the back or bottom) and switch it to the 'ON' position. The robot will emit a greeting sound and its eyes will light up. To power off, switch it to the 'OFF' position.

5.2 Remote Control Operation

Use the included remote control to command the Powerman Rover. The remote allows for various movements and functions:

  • Movement: Use the directional buttons to move the robot forward, backward, left, and right.
  • Dance Mode: Press the designated dance button to activate pre-programmed dance routines.
  • Music Playback: Select from various built-in melodies using the music buttons.
  • Voice Recording & Playback: Press the record button on the remote, speak into the robot's microphone, then press the playback button to hear your message repeated in a robot voice.
  • Programming: Utilize the programming buttons (P+, P) to create custom sequences of movements and actions.

5.3 Gesture Control

The Powerman Rover can also be controlled using hand gestures. Move your hand in front of the robot's sensors to direct its movement. Refer to the specific gesture patterns in the quick start guide for detailed instructions.

5.4 STEM Programming

Engage in STEM learning by programming the robot. Use the remote control to input sequences of movements and actions, allowing the robot to perform custom routines. This feature encourages creativity and develops coordination skills.

5.5 Light and Sound Effects

The robot features captivating LED lights in its eyes and various sound effects that enhance the interactive experience. These effects are synchronized with its movements and actions.

6. Maintenance

  • Keep the robot and remote control clean by wiping with a dry cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the product to water or excessive moisture.
  • Store the product in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Remove batteries if the product will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Robot not responding: Ensure both the robot and remote control have fresh batteries and are powered on. Check that there are no obstructions between the remote and the robot.
  • Low Battery Indication: The robot may announce "Low Batteries" or exhibit reduced functionality when batteries are running low. Replace all batteries promptly.
  • Unexpected behavior: Turn the robot off and then on again to reset its system.
