5. Operation
5.1 Alarm Activation
When the sensing probe detects water, the detector will sound an alarm for 4 seconds and then pause for 4 seconds. This cycle will continue until the water is no longer detected or the battery is depleted.
5.2 Pausing the Alarm
To temporarily pause the alarm, press the 'Set' button on the detector unit. The alarm will pause for 10 seconds. If the leak is not addressed within this time, the alarm will resume.
5.3 Volume Levels
The detector features 4 adjustable volume levels, ranging from mute (0 dB) to 100 dB. Use the volume control buttons (+/-) on the unit to adjust the alarm loudness to your preference.
5.4 Low Battery Alert
When the battery voltage drops below 2.4V, the detector will emit a "Di" sound once every minute to indicate a low battery. Replace the batteries promptly to ensure continuous protection. If the voltage drops below 1.7V, the unit will power off.

6. Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace all 4 AAA batteries when the low battery alert sounds. Use new alkaline batteries for optimal performance.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the sensing probe and the detector unit with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
- Regular Testing: It is recommended to test the detector periodically by placing the probe in a small amount of water to ensure it is functioning correctly.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Alarm does not sound when water is detected. | Low or dead batteries; probe not making contact with water; unit is in mute mode. | Replace batteries; ensure probe is flat on the surface; check volume settings. |
| Alarm sounds continuously or falsely. | Probe is wet or damp; probe is in contact with conductive material. | Dry the probe thoroughly; reposition the probe away from damp or conductive surfaces. |
| Low battery alert sounds frequently. | Batteries are old or depleted. | Replace with new alkaline AAA batteries. |
