1. Introduction

The EMB Ironblade 7-in-1 Multi Cooker is a versatile kitchen appliance designed to simplify your cooking process. This single unit combines the functions of a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice maker, steamer, sauté pan, food warmer, and yogurt maker. With a 6-liter capacity and 1000W power, it is suitable for preparing meals for families or for meal prepping.

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your multi cooker. Please read it thoroughly before first use and retain it for future reference.

2. Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.

  • Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plugs, or the main unit in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • This appliance cooks under pressure. Improper use may result in scalding injury. Make certain unit is properly closed before operating.
  • Never force open the multi cooker. Ensure the internal pressure is completely released before opening.
  • Do not fill the unit over 2/3 full. When cooking foods that expand during cooking, such as rice or dried vegetables, do not fill the unit over 1/2 full.
  • Always check the pressure release valve and anti-block shield for clogging before use.
  • Do not use this pressure cooker for deep frying with oil.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  • Digital Display: Shows cooking time, pressure level, and error codes.
  • Pre-set Function Buttons: Rice, Porridge, Bean Chili, Soup Broth, Meat Stew, Steam, Sauté, Slow Cooker, Yogurt, Multigrain, Pressure High, Pressure Low.
  • Delay Button: Sets a delayed start time for cooking.
  • +/- Buttons: Adjust cooking time or delay time.
  • Warm/Cancel Button: Cancels current cooking program or activates/deactivates the Keep Warm function.

5. Before First Use

  1. Unpack the multi cooker and all accessories. Remove any packaging materials.
  2. Wash the inner pot, lid, and sealing ring with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The inner pot and lid are dishwasher safe.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse the main unit in water.
  4. Ensure the sealing ring is properly seated around the lid.
  5. Perform a test run (water test) to familiarize yourself with the pressure cooking function and ensure proper operation. Fill the inner pot with 3 cups of water, close the lid, set the pressure release valve to 'Sealing', and select a short pressure cooking program (e.g., Steam for 5 minutes). Once complete, carefully release pressure.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 General Operation

  • Opening the Lid: Hold the lid handle, turn it counter-clockwise until the lid aligns with the 'Open' symbol, then lift.
  • Closing the Lid: Place the lid on the cooker, align it with the 'Open' symbol, then turn clockwise until it locks into place and aligns with the 'Close' symbol.
  • Pressure Release Valve: Ensure the valve is set to 'Sealing' for pressure cooking and 'Venting' for quick pressure release after cooking.
  • Minimum Liquid Requirement: Always add at least 1 cup (250ml) of liquid to the inner pot for pressure cooking to generate steam.

6.2 Using Pre-set Functions

The multi cooker features 13 intelligent pre-programmed cooking functions. To use a pre-set function:

  1. Add ingredients and liquid to the inner pot.
  2. Close the lid and ensure the pressure release valve is set to 'Sealing' (for pressure cooking functions).
  3. Plug in the appliance. The display will show 'OFF'.
  4. Press the desired pre-set function button (e.g., 'Rice', 'Meat Stew'). The display will show the default cooking time.
  5. If desired, adjust the cooking time using the '+' or '-' buttons.
  6. The cooker will automatically begin the preheating process after a few seconds. Once pressure is reached, the countdown timer will begin.
  7. When cooking is complete, the cooker will beep and automatically switch to 'Keep Warm' mode (unless cancelled).

6.3 Manual Cooking Settings

For functions like Sauté, Steam, or Slow Cook, or to manually set pressure cooking times:

  • Sauté: Press 'Sauté'. Use the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust time. The cooker will heat up for browning ingredients.
  • Steam: Add water and place ingredients on a steamer rack (not included). Press 'Steam'. Adjust time as needed.
  • Slow Cooker: Add ingredients. Press 'Slow Cooker'. Adjust time and temperature settings if available (refer to specific model features).
  • Pressure High/Low: Select 'Pressure High' or 'Pressure Low' and adjust the cooking time using the '+' or '-' buttons.

6.4 Delay Start Function

The Delay function allows you to program the cooker to start cooking at a later time.

  1. Select your desired cooking program and adjust the cooking time.
  2. Press the 'Delay' button. The display will show a default delay time.
  3. Use the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the delay time in hours.
  4. The cooker will start counting down the delay time, then automatically begin the selected cooking program.

6.5 Keep Warm / Cancel

  • Keep Warm: After most cooking programs, the cooker automatically enters 'Keep Warm' mode. Press 'Warm/Cancel' to exit this mode.
  • Cancel: Press 'Warm/Cancel' at any time to stop the current cooking program and return the cooker to standby mode.

7. Care and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your multi cooker.

  1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Inner Pot: The non-stick inner pot is dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  3. Lid: The lid is dishwasher safe. For hand washing, remove the sealing ring and wash the lid, sealing ring, and pressure release valve assembly with warm, soapy water. Ensure all parts are clean and free of food debris. Reassemble correctly after drying.
  4. Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
  5. Sealing Ring: Regularly inspect the silicone sealing ring for cracks, deformation, or damage. Replace if necessary to maintain proper pressure sealing.
  6. Anti-Block Shield: Remove and clean the anti-block shield on the underside of the lid after each use to prevent clogging.

8. Troubleshooting
