3. Installation
Professional installation is recommended. Disconnect the vehicle's negative battery terminal before beginning installation to prevent electrical shorts.
3.1 Mounting
The CAR714MW is a double-DIN unit. Ensure your vehicle's dashboard opening is compatible. Secure the unit using the provided mounting screws and brackets.

3.2 Wiring Connections

4.2 Bluetooth Connectivity

- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- On the CAR714MW, navigate to the Bluetooth menu.
- Search for available devices on your phone and select 'CAR714MW'.
- Confirm the pairing code on both devices.
4.3 Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
The CAR714MW supports both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration.
- Wired Connection: Connect your smartphone to the unit's USB port using a certified USB cable.
- Wireless Connection: Ensure Bluetooth is paired and Wi-Fi is enabled on your phone. The unit will prompt you to connect wirelessly.
- Once connected, the CarPlay or Android Auto interface will appear on the screen, allowing access to compatible apps, navigation, and voice assistants (Siri/Google Assistant).

4.4 Radio Operation
- AM/FM Tuner: Select the Radio source. Use the touchscreen to scan for stations or manually tune.
- Presets: Save your favorite stations to the 30 available presets (18 FM / 12 AM).
- RDS: Radio Data System provides station information where available.
4.5 SiriusXM (Tuner Required)
The unit is SiriusXM-Ready. A SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner and subscription are required (sold separately) to access satellite radio services. Follow the tuner's instructions for installation and activation.
