3.2 Sensor Connection
To ensure accurate temperature and humidity data, the main unit and the remote sensor need to establish a connection. Follow these steps:
- Set the channel selector on the remote sensor to your desired transmission channel (1, 2, or 3) before inserting batteries.
- Place batteries into the main unit.
- Place batteries into the wireless sensor.
- Put the main unit and sensor together for approximately 2-3 minutes. Do not move them until the connection is established.

3.3 Sensor Placement Guidelines
Proper placement of the outdoor sensor is crucial for accurate readings and optimal signal transmission. The sensor has a range of up to 200ft/60m in an open area.
- Place the sensor vertically at 1.2 to 2.4 meters (4 to 8 feet) above the ground.
- Ensure the sensor is in a location with permanent shade, out of direct sunlight, to prevent inaccurate high temperature readings.
- Avoid placing the sensor horizontally or directly on the ground.
- Keep the sensor at least 1.5-2 meters (5-7 feet) away from electronic devices (TV, computer, microwave, radio, etc.) to prevent interference.
- Place units away from any heat sources or vents.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator flashes on the display unit, it's time to replace the batteries in either the main unit or the remote sensor. Always replace all batteries in a unit at the same time with new AAA alkaline batteries. Do not mix new and old batteries.
5.2 Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the unit.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 No Outdoor Reading or Signal Loss
- Ensure the remote sensor is within the 200ft/60m transmission range of the main unit.
- Check for obstructions between the main unit and sensor. Thick walls, concrete, or large metal objects can interfere with the signal. Try repositioning both units.
- Verify that the sensor is placed vertically and in a shaded area, as direct sunlight can affect signal and temperature readings.
- Replace batteries in both the main unit and the remote sensor. Sometimes low battery power can cause signal issues.
- Re-establish the connection by following the "Sensor Connection" steps in Section 3.2.
6.2 Inaccurate Readings
- Ensure the outdoor sensor is not exposed to direct sunlight or heat sources.
- Verify that both units are placed away from electronic devices that might cause interference.
- Allow the units to stabilize for at least 30 minutes after setup or battery replacement.
6.3 Display Not Working
- Check and replace the batteries in the main display unit.
- Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
