2. Safety Information
- Ensure all components are present and undamaged before installation.

4. Setup and Installation
Before starting, ensure your door thickness is between 20-55mm. The handle direction is reversible, allowing for flexible installation.
4.1 Pre-installation Checklist
- Verify all parts are included in the package.
- Prepare necessary tools: screwdriver, drill (if new holes are needed), measuring tape.
- Ensure the door frame is sturdy and aligned.
4.2 Installation Steps (General Guide)
- Prepare the Door: If replacing an existing lock, remove it. If it's a new installation, mark and drill holes according to the provided template (not included in this manual, refer to product packaging).
- Install Mortise/Bolt: Insert the bolt mechanism into the door edge and secure it with screws.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Initial Setup and User Management
Upon first power-up, the lock will be in factory default mode. Refer to the product's specific instructions for setting up the administrator password/fingerprint.
- Adding Administrator: Typically, the first fingerprint or password registered becomes the administrator.
- Adding Users: As an administrator, you can add additional fingerprints, passwords, and RFID cards for other users.
- Deleting Users: Administrators can delete individual users or reset the lock to factory settings.
5.2 Unlocking Methods
- Fingerprint Unlock:
Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock upon successful recognition.

- Password Unlock:
Enter your registered password on the keypad, followed by the '#' key (or equivalent confirmation key). The lock will unlock if the password is correct.
- RFID Card Unlock:
Tap your registered RFID card on the card induction area (usually marked "CARD" or near the keypad). The lock will unlock upon successful card recognition.
- Mechanical Key Unlock:
Insert the mechanical key into the hidden keyhole and turn to unlock the door. This is primarily for emergency use.
- Tuya Smart App Unlock:
Download the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app from your app store. Register an account and add your smart lock device. From the app, you can remotely unlock the door, generate temporary passwords, and manage users. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone for initial pairing and local control.
5.3 Locking the Door
The lock typically auto-locks after a few seconds of closing the door. You can also manually lock it from the inside using the knob or from the outside by pressing a specific key (e.g., '#' or a lock icon) or by simply closing the door.
6. Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the low battery warning is indicated (audible alarm or light indicator). Use high-quality dry batteries.
- Cleaning: Wipe the lock surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as they may damage the finish or electronic components.
- Fingerprint Sensor: Keep the fingerprint sensor clean and dry for optimal performance.
- Mechanical Parts: Periodically check screws and connections to ensure they are secure. Do not lubricate the lock cylinder unless specifically recommended by the manufacturer.
