4. Getting Started

4.1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge your MP3 player. The device has a built-in rechargeable battery that provides up to 20 hours of playback time on a 2-hour charge.

  1. Remove the magnetic cap from the USB Type-C port.
  2. Connect the included USB-C adapter cable to the player.
  3. Plug the other end of the cable into a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
  4. The battery icon on the screen will indicate charging status.

4.2. Transferring Music Files

The RUIZU X66 has 64GB of internal storage. You can transfer music files from your computer or compatible smartphone.

4.2.1. Via Computer (USB Connection)

  1. Connect the MP3 player to your computer using the USB-C adapter cable.
  2. The player will appear as a removable disk drive.
  3. Drag and drop your music files (MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, WAV, M4A, OGG) into the player's storage.
  4. Safely eject the device from your computer before disconnecting.

4.2.2. Via Smartphone (OTG Function)

The player supports OTG (On-The-Go) for direct file transfer from compatible Android smartphones.

  1. Connect the MP3 player directly to your Android smartphone's Type-C port.
  2. Your phone will recognize the player as external storage.
  3. Use your phone's file manager to transfer music files.

Note: OTG file transfer is not supported on iOS devices. Batch transfer is limited to 1GB at a time.

5. Basic Operation

5.1. Power On/Off

  • To power on: Press and hold the Power button until the screen lights up.
  • To power off: Press and hold the Power button until the device shuts down.

5.2. Music Playback

  1. Navigate to the 'Music' menu using the control buttons.
  2. Select a song or folder to play.
  3. Use the Play/Pause button to start or pause playback.
  4. Use the Next/Previous buttons to skip tracks.

5.2.1. Playback Modes

The player supports various playback modes:

  • Sequential Playback: Plays songs in order.
  • Shuffle Playback: Plays songs in a random order.
  • Repeat One: Repeats the current song.
  • Repeat All: Repeats all songs in the current folder/playlist.

5.3. Volume Control

Use the dedicated Volume Up and Volume Down buttons on the side of the device to adjust the audio level.

5.4. Bluetooth Connection

Connect your RUIZU X66 to Bluetooth headphones or speakers for wireless audio.

Note: The RUIZU X66 cannot connect to car Bluetooth, computer Bluetooth, or smartphone Bluetooth for audio output.

  1. To start recording: Slide the red recording button on the side of the device upwards.
  2. To save recording: Slide the red recording button downwards.
  3. Recorded files are saved in the 'Record' folder and can be played back from the device.

6.2. FM Radio

Listen to your favorite FM radio stations.

8. Troubleshooting

Bluetooth connection unstable or not pairing.Ensure your Bluetooth accessory is in pairing mode and within range. Restart both devices. Remember, the player cannot connect to car, PC, or phone Bluetooth for audio output.
No sound from headphones.Check headphone connection. Ensure volume is not muted or too low. Test with different headphones.
FM Radio not working.Wired headphones must be connected as they act as the antenna. Ensure you are in an area with good signal reception.
