1. Introduction

The Tapo RV30 Max is an advanced 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop designed to efficiently clean various floor types in your home. It features powerful suction, intelligent navigation, and customizable cleaning options through the Tapo app. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your device to ensure optimal performance.

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before using the appliance. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Do not allow children to operate the robot vacuum. Supervise children and pets when the robot is operating.
• Use only the original power adapter and charging dock provided with the product.
• Ensure the robot is fully charged before first use.
• Do not use the robot vacuum on wet surfaces or in areas with standing water.
• Remove any loose cables, small objects, or fragile items from the cleaning path to prevent entanglement or damage.
• Do not block the robot's sensors or charging contacts.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
• Store the robot vacuum in a cool, dry place when not in use.

4. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the main components of your Tapo RV30 Max.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging Dock Placement

Place the charging dock against a wall in an open, uncluttered area. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on both sides of the dock and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of it. Connect the power cord to the charging dock and plug it into a power outlet.

5.2 Initial Charging

Place the robot vacuum onto the charging dock. Ensure the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the dock. The robot will begin charging automatically. Allow the robot to fully charge before its first use. A full charge typically takes several hours.

5.3 Tapo App Download & Setup

The Tapo RV30 Max is controlled via the Tapo app.

1. Download the Tapo app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Open the Tapo app and create a new account or log in with an existing one.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your Tapo RV30 Max device. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the device or selecting it from a list.
4. Connect the robot to your home Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz band only). Bluetooth 4.2 is used for initial onboarding.

6. Operation

6.1 Cleaning Modes

The RV30 Max offers various cleaning modes to suit your needs, including vacuuming, mopping, and a combined 2-in-1 mode. You can select these modes and adjust suction levels (5 different levels available) or water flow options (3 options for mopping) via the Tapo app.

6.2 Navigation and Mapping

The robot utilizes LiDAR+IMU Dual Navigation System for precise 360° mapping and efficient cleaning. The IMU sensor tracks the robot's position for enhanced accuracy.

6.3 Customizable Cleaning

• Virtual Walls and No-Go Zones: Set up virtual boundaries in the app to prevent the robot from entering specific areas, such as children's play areas or pet feeding zones.

• Room and Zone Selection: Select specific rooms or zones on the floor maps (up to 3 floors supported) for targeted cleaning.
• Carpet Parameters: On the app, easily add your carpets and rugs by size or room. The robot can increase suction on low-pile carpet and avoids carpeted areas when in mopping mode.

• Furniture-Focused Cleaning: Conveniently select cleaning areas around furniture like dining tables or pet bowls for focused cleaning.

6.4 Smart Recharge & Resume

The robot automatically returns to its charging dock when the battery is low. Once sufficiently charged, it resumes cleaning from where it left off.

6.5 Voice Control

The Tapo RV30 Max is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home for convenient voice control. Refer to the Tapo app for instructions on linking your robot vacuum with these smart home platforms.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum.

7.1 Dustbin Emptying

Empty the dustbin after each cleaning cycle.

1. Open the top cover of the robot vacuum.
2. Remove the dustbin.
3. Open the dustbin lid and empty its contents into a trash can.

7.2 Filter Cleaning

The H11 HEPA filter is washable and reusable. Clean it regularly to maintain suction power.

1. Remove the filter from the dustbin.
2. Tap the filter gently to remove loose dirt.
3. Rinse the filter under running water until clean. Do not use detergent.
4. Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting it.

7.3 Brush Cleaning

Regularly inspect and clean the main brush and side brush to remove tangled hair or debris. Use the provided cleaning brush (located inside the auto-empty dock, if applicable, or with the accessories) to cut and remove tangled hair from the main brush.

7.4 Mopping Pad Maintenance

After mopping, remove the mopping pad from the attachment and wash it. Allow it to air dry completely before reattaching.

7.5 Sensor Cleaning

Wipe the sensors (cliff sensors, wall sensors, charging contacts) on the robot and charging dock with a clean, dry cloth to ensure proper operation.
