Measurement Modes and Interpretation
The meter provides visual and audible indications of moisture levels. Refer to the table below for general guidelines on moisture content for each mode:
| Moisture Level | Wall | Masonry | Soft Wood | Hard Wood |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DRY | < 8% | < 13% | < 12% | < 12% |
| MID | 8-12% | 13-21% | 12-26% | 12-16% |
| WET | ≥ 12% | ≥ 21% | ≥ 26% | ≥ 16% |

Important Considerations
- Metallic Objects: Avoid measuring areas with metallic concrete, steel bars, wires, or other metal objects inside the wall, as these can significantly affect the accuracy of the readings.
- Hand Placement: Keep your hands away from the sensor area on the back of the device during measurement to ensure precise readings.
- Surface Condition: Ensure the surface is clean and free of superficial water before taking measurements.
- Material Density: The manufacturer does not recommend using the meter on gypsum walls, as the low density of the material may lead to less precise readings.
