4.2. Front Wheel Installation
- Orient the front fork correctly. The brake calipers should face forward.

- Tighten the stem bolt securely. Adjust height as needed (see Section 5.1).
4.4. Pedal Installation
Important: Pedals are marked 'L' for Left and 'R' for Right. The left pedal tightens counter-clockwise, and the right pedal tightens clockwise.
- Identify the 'L' and 'R' pedals.
- Thread the 'R' pedal into the right crank arm (clockwise).
- Thread the 'L' pedal into the left crank arm (counter-clockwise).
- Tighten both pedals firmly with a wrench.

4.7. Tire Inflation
Use the provided air pump to inflate the tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall.
5. Adjustments
5.1. Handlebar Height Adjustment
The handlebar height can be adjusted to suit the rider's comfort and control. Loosen the stem bolt, raise or lower the handlebar to the desired height, ensuring it is not extended beyond the minimum insertion mark. Re-tighten the stem bolt securely.

5.2. Seat Height Adjustment
The seat height is crucial for proper riding posture and safety. Adjust the seat so the rider can comfortably touch the ground with their toes while seated. For models with a quick-release lever, open the lever, adjust the seat, and close the lever firmly. For bolt-on seats, use a wrench to loosen, adjust, and re-tighten.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Riding
Encourage the rider to practice balancing and steering in a safe, open area. Start with short rides and gradually increase duration as confidence grows.
6.2. Braking System
Your WEIZE Kids Bicycle features a dual braking system for enhanced safety:
- Coaster Brake: To engage the coaster brake, pedal backward. This is an intuitive braking method for young riders.
- Handbrake: The handbrake is located on the handlebar. Squeeze the lever gently to apply the front brake. Teach the rider to use both brakes smoothly and not to apply the front brake too suddenly, especially at high speeds.

6.3. Training Wheels (if applicable)
If your model includes training wheels, ensure they are securely attached. Training wheels provide stability for beginners. They should be adjusted so that the main rear wheel is slightly off the ground, allowing the child to learn balance gradually. Remove training wheels once the child demonstrates consistent balance.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your bicycle.
- Cleaning: Clean the bicycle regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid high-pressure water sprays directly on bearings.
- Lubrication: Periodically lubricate the chain with bicycle-specific chain lubricant.
- Tires: Check tire pressure before each ride. Inspect tires for wear, cuts, or punctures.
- Brakes: Ensure brake levers are responsive and brake pads make full contact with the wheel rim. Adjust cable tension if necessary.
- Fasteners: Regularly check all nuts, bolts, and screws for tightness.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Brakes not working effectively | Loose brake cable, worn brake pads, low tire pressure | Adjust brake cable tension, replace brake pads, inflate tires to correct pressure |
| Pedals are stiff or noisy | Lack of lubrication, loose pedals | Lubricate pedal bearings, ensure pedals are tightened correctly |
| Tires frequently go flat | Puncture, valve issue, low tire pressure | Inspect tire for punctures and repair/replace, check valve stem, maintain correct tire pressure |
| Handlebars or seat are loose | Stem bolt or seat post clamp is not tight | Tighten stem bolt or seat post quick-release/bolt securely |
