2. Setup and Components

Verify that all components are present:

Battery Installation:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
  2. Use the provided screwdriver to open the battery cover.
  3. Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screw.

Attaching the Adapter:

The digital torque adapter is designed to be used with a standard ratchet or breaker bar. Select the appropriate drive adapter (e.g., 1/4", 3/8", 1/2") based on your application.

  1. Insert the square drive of the digital torque adapter into your ratchet or breaker bar.
  2. Attach the desired socket or bit to the output square drive of the digital torque adapter.
  3. Ensure all connections are secure before use.

3. Operating Instructions

Controls and Display:

Power On/Off:

Press the 'P/C' button to power the unit on. To power off, press and hold the 'P/C' button for a few seconds.

Selecting Torque Units:

Press the 'U/S' button repeatedly to cycle through the available torque units: kgf.cm, Nm, lbf.ft, lbf.in.

Operating Modes:

Press the 'M' button to switch between the following modes:

Setting Target Torque (Preset Mode):

  1. Switch to Preset Mode using the 'M' button.
  2. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the target torque value.
  3. Press the 'U/S' button to confirm and save the preset value.

Audible and Visual Alarms:

When operating in Preset Mode, the unit will provide an audible beep and the indicator light will illuminate when the applied torque reaches the preset target value. This helps prevent over-tightening.

Note: The backlight and buzzer function activate only when the target or nominal value is reached.
