4.2 Wiring Connections

Refer to the wiring diagram and terminal labels for correct connections. Ensure all connections are secure and comply with local electrical codes.

  • Power Supply (L-N): Connect AC/DC 24V-240V to terminals A1 and A2.
  • Temperature Probe (NTC): Connect the provided temperature probe to terminals T1 and T2.
  • Output Relay (SPST): Connect the controlled device to terminals 11 and 14. This is a single-pole, single-throw contact.

5. Operating Instructions

Once installed and wired, configure the GRW8-01 relay using the front panel controls.

5.1 Power On

Apply power to the A1-A2 terminals. The green "Un" LED indicator will illuminate, indicating the device is powered.

5.2 Mode Selection (Heating/Cooling)

Use the "FUNC" switch to select the desired operating mode:

  • HEAT: For heating applications. The output relay will activate when the temperature falls below the set point minus hysteresis.
  • COOL: For cooling applications. The output relay will activate when the temperature rises above the set point plus hysteresis.

5.3 Temperature Setting

Adjust the "Temperature" dial to set the desired temperature set point. The range is -15℃ to +45℃.

5.4 Hysteresis Setting

Adjust the "Hysteresis" dial to set the temperature difference before the relay changes state. The range is 0.5℃ to 5℃. Hysteresis prevents rapid cycling of the controlled device.

5.5 Output Relay Indication

The red "R" LED indicator illuminates when the output relay is active (contacts 11-14 are closed).

6. Maintenance

The GRW8-01 relay requires minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear or damage.
  • Environment: Ensure the operating environment remains within the specified temperature and humidity ranges.

7. Troubleshooting

If the GRW8-01 relay is not functioning as expected, refer to the following table:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No power (Green "Un" LED off)No power supply to A1-A2 terminals; incorrect voltage.Check power supply connections and voltage (AC/DC 24V-240V).
Output relay not activating (Red "R" LED off)Temperature not within set range; incorrect mode (HEAT/COOL); faulty probe.Verify temperature set point and hysteresis; check FUNC switch; inspect temperature probe connection (T1-T2).
Inaccurate temperature readingsFaulty temperature probe; probe not correctly positioned.Check probe connection; ensure probe is in the correct sensing location; replace probe if damaged.
Relay cycles too frequentlyHysteresis value set too low.Increase the hysteresis value using the "Hysteresis" dial.

If problems persist, contact customer support.
