Setup and Installation
This heater requires hard-wired installation to a 240V power supply. Due to the electrical requirements, it is highly recommended to have a qualified electrician perform the installation.
Mounting Instructions:
- Select a suitable mounting location, ensuring sufficient clearance from walls and other objects (at least 24 inches from discharge, 8 feet from floor).
- Attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling or wall using appropriate hardware (not included).
- Secure the heater to the mounting bracket. The bracket allows for multiple mounting angles (45°, 67.5°, 90°) to optimize heat direction.

Electrical Wiring:
- The heater does not come with a power cord and must be hard-wired directly into a 240V circuit.
- Connect the appropriate gauge wiring (e.g., #8-3 wire) to the heater's terminal block.
- Ensure all connections are secure and comply with local electrical codes.

Powering On and Heat Settings:
- Ensure the heater is properly installed and connected to the power supply.
- Turn the Thermostat Control knob clockwise to the desired temperature setting.
- Use the Power Selection Switch to choose your desired heating output:
- I: 3000W (Low Heat) - Approximately 11,285 BTUs
- II: 4000W (Medium Heat) - Approximately 14,105 BTUs
- III: 5000W (High Heat) - Approximately 17,065 BTUs
- The Power Indicator Light will illuminate when the heater is operating.
- If the Overheat Caution Light illuminates, the heater has detected an internal overheating condition and has automatically shut off. Turn off the heater, allow it to cool down, and check for any obstructions before restarting.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your VENTISOL Garage Heater.
- Cleaning: Before cleaning, ensure the heater is turned off and disconnected from the power supply. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Internal Cleaning: Periodically inspect the heating elements and fan for dust and debris accumulation. If necessary, carefully clean with a vacuum cleaner or compressed air. Ensure no foreign objects are inside the heater.
- Storage: If storing the heater for an extended period, ensure it is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your heater, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Heater does not turn on. | No power supply; circuit breaker tripped; thermostat set too low. | Check power connections; reset circuit breaker; increase thermostat setting. |
| Heater turns off unexpectedly. | Overheat protection activated; unit too close to obstructions. | Turn off, unplug (if applicable), allow to cool, remove obstructions, then restart. |
| Insufficient heat output. | Incorrect heat setting; room size too large for heater capacity. | Select a higher heat setting (4000W or 5000W); ensure heater is appropriate for the space. |
| Unusual noise or smell. | Dust accumulation; foreign object inside; internal component issue. | Turn off and disconnect power immediately. Inspect for dust/debris. If problem persists, contact customer support. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact VENTISOL customer support.
