1. Safety Information

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the spot welder. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the device and to a suitable USB power adapter (not included). The LCD display will indicate the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2.5 hours.

3.2 Power On/Off

To power on the device, press and hold the power button located on the top of the unit. The LCD screen will illuminate. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the screen turns off.

3.3 Initial Settings

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Preparing for Welding

• Ensure the battery surfaces and nickel strips are clean and free from oxidation or debris. Use the provided gauze if necessary.
• Select the appropriate nickel strip thickness for your application. The AWithZ H2 supports 0.1mm to 0.2mm nickel strips.
• Place the nickel strip firmly on the battery terminal where the weld is to be made.

Use the adjustment keys to set the welding parameters on the LCD screen:

• Mode: Choose between 'Auto' for automatic pulse output or 'Manual' for controlled pulse output.
• Gear: Adjust the power level (1.0-9.9) based on the material thickness and desired weld strength. Start with a lower setting and gradually increase if needed.
• Preheat: Adjust the preheating time. This helps prepare the material for a stronger weld.
• Trigger Time: Adjust the delay before the welding pulse is triggered.

4.3 Performing a Spot Weld

1. Hold the spot welder firmly in one hand.
2. Position the two welding tips onto the nickel strip, ensuring they are parallel and make good contact with the material and the battery terminal. Apply gentle, even pressure.
3. In 'Auto' mode, the weld will trigger automatically after the set trigger time once good contact is detected. In 'Manual' mode, press the manual mode button to initiate the weld.
4. Observe the weld. A good weld should be strong and clean. If the weld is weak or burns the material, adjust the power level (Gear) and other parameters accordingly.
5. Repeat the process for each desired weld point.
