- Connect Water Supply: Attach a garden hose to the pump's water inlet. Ensure the garden hose is free of kinks and has an adequate water supply.
Operating Instructions
- Start Water Flow: Turn on the water supply to the pressure washer. Allow water to flow through the pump and out of the spray gun (without a nozzle attached) for about 30 seconds to purge air from the system.
- Attach Nozzle: Once air is purged, turn off the water supply, attach the desired quick-connect nozzle, and then turn the water supply back on.
- Start Pressure Washer: Follow your pressure washer's manufacturer instructions to start the engine.
- Begin Cleaning: Aim the spray gun at the cleaning surface, keeping a safe distance. Squeeze the trigger to begin spraying. Adjust distance and nozzle type as needed for the task.
- Shut Down:
- Release the spray gun trigger.
- Turn off the pressure washer engine.
- Turn off the water supply.
- Squeeze the spray gun trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pump and spray kit:
- After Each Use:
- Drain all water from the pump, hose, and spray gun to prevent freezing and mineral buildup.
- Clean any debris from the nozzles and filters.
- Seasonal Storage: For prolonged storage, especially in freezing temperatures, use a pump protector or antifreeze solution to protect the pump from damage.
- Inspect Hoses and Connections: Regularly check the high-pressure hose for cuts, abrasions, or leaks. Inspect all connections for tightness and replace O-rings if they show signs of wear.
- Nozzle Care: Keep nozzles clean. A clogged nozzle can cause excessive pressure and damage the pump.
