4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Mounting the Timer
The ETW2CP timer is designed for surface mounting. Select a suitable location that allows for proper wiring and access. Ensure the mounting surface is stable and can support the weight of the timer.
- Open the timer enclosure by unlatching the cover.
- Use the provided mounting holes on the back of the enclosure as a template to mark drilling locations.
- Drill appropriate pilot holes and secure the timer to the wall using suitable screws (not included).
- Ensure the enclosure is level and securely fastened.

4.2 Wiring Instructions
IMPORTANT: All wiring must comply with national and local electrical codes. Disconnect power before proceeding.
- Route power supply wires into the enclosure through appropriate knockouts.
- Connect the incoming line voltage (120-277 VAC) to the L1 and L2/H terminals.
- Connect the neutral wire to the N terminal (if applicable for your wiring configuration).
- Connect the load wires for Circuit 1 to the appropriate terminals (NO, NC, COM) for Circuit 1.
- Connect the load wires for Circuit 2 to the appropriate terminals (NO, NC, COM) for Circuit 2.

4.3 Initial Power-Up and Wi-Fi Connection
- Restore power to the timer at the circuit breaker.
- Download the "Intermatic Connect" app from your device's app store.
- Follow the in-app instructions to create an account and add your ETW2CP timer to your network. The NETWORK LED on the timer will indicate connection status.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Manual Control
The ETW2CP allows for manual override of the scheduled programs.
- Press the MODE button to cycle through operating modes: SERVICE, MANUAL, AUTO.
- In MANUAL mode, press the circuit buttons (1 or 2) to toggle the connected load ON or OFF. The MANUAL LED will illuminate.
- In AUTO mode, the timer operates according to its programmed schedule. The AUTO LED will illuminate.
5.2 App-Based Scheduling
All advanced scheduling and programming are managed through the Intermatic Connect app.
- Open the Intermatic Connect app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Select your ETW2CP timer from the device list.
- Navigate to the "Schedules" section to create, edit, or delete ON/OFF events and holiday schedules.
- Use the app to set astronomical clock functions, daylight saving adjustments, and other advanced settings.
- The app also provides real-time status updates and remote ON/OFF control for each circuit.
