1. Introduction

The BOYI TD31Pro Mechanical Number Pad is a versatile and customizable numeric keypad designed to enhance productivity and user experience. Featuring tri-mode connectivity (Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless, and Type-C wired), a vibrant multimedia TFT display, and hot-swappable mechanical switches, this numpad offers flexibility and performance for various computing environments. 3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, ensure the TD31Pro is fully charged. Connect the provided Type-C USB cable to the numpad's Type-C port and the other end to a USB power source. The 1000mAh battery provides long-lasting power.

3.2 Tri-Mode Connection

The TD31Pro supports three connection modes: Type-C wired, Bluetooth 5.0, and 2.4GHz wireless. You can connect up to 3 devices simultaneously.

3.2.1 Type-C Wired Connection

• Switch the numpad's power switch to the 'ON' position.
• Connect the numpad to your computer using the provided Type-C USB cable.
• Press FN + 5 to activate wired mode. The display will indicate wired connection.

3.2.2 Bluetooth 5.0 Connection

• Switch the numpad's power switch to the 'ON' position.
• Press FN + 1, FN + 2, or FN + 3 to select a Bluetooth channel. The display will show 'BT1', 'BT2', or 'BT3' and start blinking, indicating pairing mode.
• On your device (PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone), enable Bluetooth and search for 'BOYI TD31Pro'.
• Select the numpad to pair. Once connected, the blinking will stop.

3.2.3 2.4GHz Wireless Connection

• Switch the numpad's power switch to the 'ON' position.
• Plug the 2.4G receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
• Press FN + 4 to activate 2.4GHz wireless mode. The display will indicate 2.4G connection.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Multi-function 30-Key Layout

The TD31Pro features a comprehensive 30-key layout including standard numeric keys and dedicated function keys for enhanced productivity:

• NumLock: Toggles the numeric keypad function.
• ESC: Escape key.
• Delete: Deletes characters.
• Copy: Copies selected content.
• Paste: Pastes copied content.
• PgUp / PgDn: Page Up / Page Down.
• Calculator Shortcut: Dedicated key to open the computer calculator directly.

4.2 TFT Display & Enhanced Metal Knob

The 1.44" TFT color screen and multi-functional metal knob provide intuitive control over various settings and display information:

• Mode Switching: Press the FN + Knob to quickly switch between Volume Mode and Screen Modes.
• Volume Control: In Default Volume Mode, the knob controls system volume. One click can mute/unmute.
• Screen Display Control: In Screen Mode, the knob allows easy control over screen display content (e.g., custom GIF images, connection mode, WIN/MAC system, battery status, RGB Mode).
• RGB Mode & Color: The screen can display current RGB mode and color settings.
• Brightness & Speed: Adjust backlight brightness and lighting effect speed directly from the screen menu.
• Battery Status: Monitor the numpad's battery level directly on the TFT display.

4.3 Lighting Effects & FN Combinations

The TD31Pro features 16.8 million RGB presets and music rhythm lighting effects. Control them using FN key combinations:

• FN + Copy: Switch multiple RGB effects.
• FN + Paste: Switch individual light strip backlight mode.
• FN + Back Space: Switch numpad light colors.
• FN + Del: Turn off/on numpad backlight.
• FN + 7: Switch light strip colors.
• FN + Up Arrow: Increase numpad light brightness.
• FN + Down Arrow: Decrease numpad light brightness.
• FN + Left Arrow: Decrease numpad light speed.
• FN + Right Arrow: Increase numpad light speed.
• FN + PgUp / PgDn: Adjust light strip brightness.

5. Customization

5.1 Hot-Swappable Switches

The TD31Pro features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing you to easily replace 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switches without soldering. It comes with BOYI full POM Jadeite Green HIFI Linear Lubed Switches for a smooth typing experience.

5.2 Pro Software Customization

Utilize the dedicated software driver to fully program and remap keys, customize light effects, and create custom profiles. This allows for personalized functionality to suit your workflow or gaming needs.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

• To clean the numpad, power it off and disconnect it from any power source.
• Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• For cleaning between keycaps, use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps gently. Use compressed air or a small brush to remove dust and debris.

6.2 Storage

When not in use, store the numpad in a cool, dry place. Use the provided dust cover to protect it from dust and spills.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Connectivity Issues

• Numpad not connecting: Ensure the numpad is powered on and the correct connection mode (wired, Bluetooth, 2.4GHz) is selected. For wireless modes, check battery level.
• Bluetooth pairing failure: Make sure the numpad is in pairing mode (blinking 'BT' indicator). Remove previous pairings from your device and try re-pairing.
• 2.4GHz receiver not recognized: Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port. Ensure the numpad is in 2.4GHz mode.

7.2 Key Functionality

• Keys not responding: Check if NumLock is enabled if you are using the numeric keys. If a specific key is not working, try removing and re-seating its hot-swappable switch. If the issue persists, try a spare switch.
• Incorrect key output: Ensure the numpad is set to the correct operating system mode (WIN/MAC) via the TFT display.

7.3 Display & Lighting

• Screen not displaying: Check battery level. Ensure the numpad is powered on.
• RGB lights not working: Check brightness settings via the knob or FN combinations. Ensure backlight is not turned off (FN + Del).
