Setup

1. Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove the scanner and all accessories from the packaging. Place the scanner on a stable, flat surface, ensuring adequate ventilation around the device.

2. Connecting Power

Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC input port on the scanner and then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The scanner will power on automatically or can be turned on using the power button.

3. Connecting to a Computer (Optional)

If you wish to transfer scanned images directly to your computer or use specific scanning software, connect the scanner to your computer using the provided USB cable. Insert one end into the scanner's USB port and the other into an available USB port on your computer.

Operating Instructions

1. Loading Slides or Negatives

• Select the appropriate holder: Use the slide holder for mounted slides and the negative film holder for film strips.
• Open the holder and carefully place your slide or negative film strip into the designated slots. Ensure the emulsion side (dull side) faces the scanner's light source.
• Close the holder securely.
• Insert the loaded holder into the scanner's input slot. Push it gently until it clicks into place or is fully inserted.

2. Navigating the Menu

Use the control buttons located below the display screen to navigate the scanner's menu:

• Power Button (⏻): Turns the scanner on/off.
• Menu/Back Button (⌂): Accesses the main menu or goes back to the previous screen.
• Up/Down Arrows (⌃ / ⌄): Navigates through menu options.
• Left/Right Arrows (〈 / 〉): Adjusts settings or navigates images.

3. Scanning Process

• Once the holder is inserted, the image will appear on the display screen.

• Press the Scan button (📷) to begin scanning. The scanner will process the image.
• After scanning, the image will be saved to the internal memory or an inserted SD card (if supported and present).
• You can review the scanned image on the display.

4. Saving and Transferring Images

Scanned images are typically saved as JPEG files. To transfer them to your computer:

• Connect the scanner to your computer via USB.
• The scanner should appear as a removable disk drive.
• Open the drive and copy the image files to your desired location on the computer.
• Safely eject the scanner from your computer before disconnecting the USB cable.

1. Cleaning the Scanner

• Ensure the scanner is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
