3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Powering the Device

3.2 Mounting the Sensor

3.3 App Installation and Pairing

1. Download the Tuya Smart or Smart Life - Smart Living app from your mobile device's app store (available for iOS and Android).
2. Register or log in to your account within the app.
3. Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. The sensor does not support 5GHz networks.
4. In the app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair the sensor with your WiFi network. This typically involves putting the sensor into pairing mode (refer to the app for specific instructions, often indicated by a blinking light on the sensor).
6. Once paired, you can rename the device and assign it to a specific room.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Understanding Detection Capabilities

The Haozee presence sensor uses 24G Mmwave radar to detect human presence. Unlike traditional PIR motion sensors, it can detect both moving and non-moving individuals, including very subtle movements like breathing or a heartbeat. This allows for more accurate occupancy detection.

4.2 App Remote Control and Configuration

• Adjust parameters like presence keep time and motion false detection thresholds.

4.3 Smart Scene Linkage and Automation

  • Signal Strength: Ensure the sensor is within range of your WiFi router.
  • Power Cycle: Unplug the sensor, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in.
  • Re-pair: If issues persist, try removing the device from the app and re-pairing it following the setup instructions.
• False Positives (Detecting Presence When No One is There):
  • Refine Settings: Adjust the detection sensitivity and presence keep time settings in the app.
  • Check for Movement Sources: Ensure there are no subtle movements from curtains, pets, or ventilation systems that could be misinterpreted as human presence.
• Limited Integration with Other Smart Home Platforms (e.g., Google Home):
  • The sensor primarily integrates with the Tuya Smart/Smart Life ecosystem. Direct compatibility with other platforms like Google Home may vary or require additional bridges/hubs not included with this device. Verify compatibility with your specific smart home platform before purchase.
