Setup

1. Charging the Earbuds and Case

Before first use, fully charge your Beats Solo Buds and their carrying case. The case charges the earbuds when they are placed inside. Use a USB-C cable (sold separately) to connect the charging case to a power source.

2. Selecting the Right Eartips

3. Pairing with Your Device

For Apple Devices: Open the charging case lid with the earbuds inside and hold it near your unlocked iPhone or iPad. Follow the on-screen prompts for one-touch pairing and automatic iCloud setup.

For Android Devices and Other Bluetooth Devices:

1. With the earbuds in the case, open the lid.
2. Press and hold the system button on the charging case until the LED indicator begins to flash white.
3. On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "Beats Solo Buds" from the list of available devices.

Operating Instructions

Basic Controls

• Play/Pause: Press the 'b' button on either earbud once.
• Skip Forward: Press the 'b' button twice.
• Skip Backward: Press the 'b' button three times.
• Answer/End Call: Press the 'b' button once.
• Decline Call: Press and hold the 'b' button.
• Activate Voice Assistant: Press and hold the 'b' button.

Battery Life

The Beats Solo Buds provide up to 18 hours of listening time on a single charge. The compact charging case extends this duration by recharging the earbuds multiple times. A 5-minute Fast Fuel charge can provide up to 1 hour of playback when the battery is low.

Maintenance

Cleaning

• Regularly clean your earbuds and charging case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use abrasive materials, aerosols, solvents, or alcohol-based cleaners.
• Remove eartips and clean them separately with water and mild soap if necessary, ensuring they are completely dry before reattaching.
• Keep charging contacts on both earbuds and case clean and free of debris.

Storage

Always store the Beats Solo Buds in their charging case when not in use to protect them and ensure they remain charged.

Troubleshooting

• Earbuds not pairing: Ensure both earbuds are in the case, the lid is open, and the case has sufficient charge. For Android, press and hold the system button until the LED flashes white. For Apple, ensure your device's Bluetooth is on and the case is near.
• No sound from one earbud: Place both earbuds back in the case, close the lid for 10 seconds, then open it and try again. Check device's audio balance settings.
• Charging issues: Verify the USB-C cable and power adapter are working. Ensure the charging port on the case and the charging contacts on the earbuds are clean and free of debris.
• Poor sound quality: Ensure eartips provide a proper seal. Try different eartip sizes. Check for debris in the earbud nozzles.
• Resetting the Earbuds: If issues persist, place both earbuds in the charging case with the lid open. Press and hold the system button on the case for 15 seconds until the LED indicator light flashes red and white. Release the button. The earbuds are now reset and ready to be paired again.
