Setup
1. Battery Installation
The TAC 2AA flashlight comes with one USB-C rechargeable battery. To install or replace batteries:
- Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight.
- Insert the included rechargeable battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the head of the flashlight.
- Alternatively, if the rechargeable battery is depleted or unavailable, you can insert two standard AA batteries (not included) with the positive (+) ends facing the head.
- Screw the tail cap back on securely.
2. Initial Charging
Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the included rechargeable battery.
- Remove the rechargeable battery from the flashlight.
- Connect the provided USB cable to the USB-C port on the battery.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
- The charging indicator on the battery will show red while charging and turn green when fully charged.

1. Power On/Off
- Tail Switch: Fully press the tail switch to turn the flashlight ON or OFF.
- Side Switch: Press and hold the side switch for 0.5 seconds to turn the flashlight ON or OFF.
2. Mode Switching (EDC Mode vs. Tactical Mode)
To switch between EDC Mode and Tactical Mode, press and hold both the tail switch and the side switch simultaneously for 3 seconds while the flashlight is OFF. The flashlight will flash to indicate the mode change.

3. Brightness Levels and Special Modes
- EDC Mode: The tail switch has a memory function, recalling the last used brightness level (Low/Med/High). The side switch cycles through Moonlight → Low → Med → High. Double-click the side switch for Turbo. Triple-click the side switch for Strobe.
- Tactical Mode: The tail switch does not have a memory function; it always activates Turbo with one click. The side switch cycles through Moonlight → Low → Med → High. Double-click the side switch for Turbo. Triple-click the side switch for Strobe.
- Moonlight Mode: From OFF, press and hold the side switch for 1 second to enter Moonlight mode.
- Strobe Mode: From ON or OFF, triple-click the side switch to activate Strobe.
- Lockout Function: To prevent accidental activation, press and hold the side switch for 5 seconds while the flashlight is OFF. The flashlight will flash once to indicate it is locked. Repeat the process to unlock.
