Model: AG-FORGE-BK-I2F

Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Acegeek Forge Mini-Tower Gaming PC Case. Please read this manual thoroughly before proceeding with installation to ensure proper setup and safe usage.

Safety Information

  • Always disconnect the power supply unit (PSU) from the wall outlet before installing or removing any components inside the PC case.
  • Handle all components with care to avoid damage from static electricity. Consider using an anti-static wrist strap.
  • Keep small parts, such as screws, away from children to prevent choking hazards.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the PC case to prevent overheating of internal components. Do not block air vents.
  • Avoid placing the PC case in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

Setup and Installation

Unpacking

Carefully remove the PC case from its packaging. Inspect the case for any signs of shipping damage before proceeding with installation. Retain the packaging for future transport or warranty purposes.

  • Motherboard Installation: The Acegeek Forge supports Micro-ATX and ITX motherboards. Align your motherboard with the pre-installed standoffs inside the case and secure it with the provided screws.
  • Storage Drive Installation: This case accommodates 2 x HDD (Hard Disk Drives) and 1 x SSD (Solid State Drive). Install your drives into the designated bays and secure them firmly.
  • Fan Installation: Two 120mm fans are pre-installed at the front of the case for intake. An additional 120mm fan can be installed at the rear for exhaust (rear fan not included). Ensure all fans are oriented correctly for optimal airflow (intake for cool air, exhaust for hot air).
  • CPU Cooler and Graphics Card: The case supports CPU coolers up to 150mm in height and graphics cards (VGA) up to 280mm in length. Verify your chosen components fit these dimensions before installation.
  • Cable Management: Utilize the available space behind the motherboard tray for routing and organizing cables. Proper cable management improves airflow and the aesthetic appeal of your build.

Operation

Once all internal components are securely installed and all necessary cables (power, data, front panel connectors) are connected, carefully close the side panels of the case. Connect your external peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.) and the power cable from your PSU to a wall outlet. Press the power button located on the front panel of the case to start your system.

For optimal performance and longevity of your components, ensure that the PC case is placed in an area with good air circulation. Avoid obstructing the front, top, and rear ventilation areas.

Maintenance

Dust Cleaning

Regular cleaning is crucial for maintaining optimal performance and preventing overheating. Dust accumulation can restrict airflow and reduce the efficiency of cooling components.

  • Periodically clean any dust filters (if present) on the intake vents.
  • Use compressed air to gently remove dust from internal components, especially CPU coolers, GPU heatsinks, and case fans. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.

Exterior Cleaning

Wipe the exterior surfaces of the case with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish or the acrylic side panel.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your PC build, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • System Not Powering On:
    • Check all power connections, including the power supply unit (PSU) to the wall outlet, and internal connections to the motherboard and components.
    • Verify that the front panel power switch cable is correctly connected to the motherboard's front panel header.
    • Ensure the PSU switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Fans Not Spinning:
    • Ensure all fan cables are securely connected to the motherboard's fan headers or a dedicated fan controller.
    • Check your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings for fan speed control options.
  • Overheating Issues:
    • Confirm that all case fans and CPU cooler fans are operating correctly and are oriented for optimal airflow (intake for cool air, exhaust for hot air).
    • Clean any dust buildup from fans, heatsinks, and case filters.
    • Ensure the PC case is in a well-ventilated area and not confined in a tight space.
