Product Overview
The Tefal KI6058 Glass Kettle features a transparent design with clear measurement markings for precise filling. It offers a generous 1.7-liter capacity, a precise pouring spout, and an illuminated indicator during operation.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the kettle and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage if needed.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water to the maximum level. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process twice to remove any manufacturing residues.
- Placement: Place the power base on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the countertop. Ensure the power cord does not hang over the edge.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the specifications of your kettle (230V).
Operating Instructions
- Filling the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Do not fill below the minimum mark or above the maximum (1.7L) mark. Close the lid securely.
- Placing on Base: Place the kettle firmly onto its power base.
- Starting the Boil: Press the ON/OFF switch. The kettle will illuminate, indicating that it is heating the water.
- Boiling Process: The water will heat rapidly. Once the water reaches boiling point, the kettle will automatically switch off, and the illumination will turn off.
- Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from its base and pour the hot water using the precise spout. Exercise caution as the kettle and water will be hot.
- Re-boiling: If you need to re-boil water, wait a few moments for the automatic switch to reset before pressing the ON/OFF switch again.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your kettle.
- Exterior Cleaning: Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Interior Cleaning: The wide opening of the kettle facilitates easy access for cleaning the interior. Use a soft sponge and mild detergent if necessary. Rinse thoroughly.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up, especially in hard water areas. Descale your kettle regularly (e.g., monthly or every two months).
- Fill the kettle with a mixture of water and white vinegar (e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water) or a commercial descaling solution according to product instructions.
- Boil the mixture.
- Let it stand for 15-30 minutes (or as recommended by the descaling solution).
- Discard the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly several times with fresh water.
- Filter Cleaning: The kettle features a removable anti-scale filter. Remove the filter and rinse it under running water. If heavily scaled, soak it in a descaling solution.
