1. Introduction

The Comfytemp TENS Unit Muscle Stimulator (Model K6155) is designed to provide drug-free pain relief and muscle conditioning through Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) therapies. This device offers targeted, long-lasting relief for various conditions including back pain, period cramps, arthritis, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, and discomfort in shoulders, knees, legs, or feet. 3. Setup

  1. Charge the Device: Before first use, fully charge the TENS unit using the provided USB-C charging cable. A full charge provides approximately 40 hours of battery life.
  2. Connect Electrode Pads: Attach the electric wires to the electrode pads. Each wire typically connects to two pads.
  3. Connect Wires to Device: Plug the electric wires into the designated Channel A and Channel B ports on the top of the TENS unit.
  4. Prepare Skin: Ensure the skin where you intend to place the pads is clean, dry, and free of oils or lotions.
  5. Apply Pads: Carefully peel the protective film from the electrode pads and firmly place them on the desired treatment area. Ensure good contact with the skin.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the ON/OFF button (usually on the side or top) to turn the device on or off.

4.2 Mode Selection (TENS, EMS, DIY)

The device offers 20 preset programs and a DIY mode.

  1. Press the MODE button to cycle through TENS, EMS, and DIY modes.
  2. In TENS or EMS mode, press the SET button to select from the available programs (TENS: P1-P10, EMS: P11-P20).

4.3 Intensity Adjustment (Dual-Channel Control)

The Comfytemp TENS unit features dual-channel control, allowing you to treat two areas simultaneously with independent intensity settings (1-20 levels).

  • Use the A+ and A- buttons to increase or decrease the intensity for Channel A.
  • Use the B+ and B- buttons to increase or decrease the intensity for Channel B.

4.4 Timer Setting

  • Press the TIME button to adjust the treatment duration from 10 to 60 minutes.

4.5 DIY Mode

The DIY mode allows for personalized customization of frequency and pulse width.

  1. Select DIY mode using the MODE button.
  2. Press SET to adjust the Pulse Width (100-400µs).
  3. Press MODE again to switch to the Frequency setting.
  4. Press SET to adjust the Frequency (1-120Hz).
  5. Adjust intensity for Channel A and B using their respective buttons.

4.6 Emergency Stop

  • Press the STOP button at any time for an immediate shutdown of the device. This is useful for quick breaks, checking pad positions, or if the intensity is too strong.

4.7 Memory Function

  • The device saves your last settings for quick resumption of your preferred therapy.

5. Pad Placement Guide

Proper placement of electrode pads is crucial for effective and safe therapy. Refer to the diagrams below for general guidance. For specific conditions or areas, consult a healthcare professional.

  • Place pads on clean, dry skin.
  • Ensure pads are not placed over open wounds, irritated skin, or sensitive areas like the eyes, temples, or front of the neck.
  • For dual-channel use, place pads from Channel A on one area and pads from Channel B on another, or use both channels on a larger area.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning Electrode Pads

When electrode pads lose adhesion, they can often be revitalized:

  • Gently rinse the adhesive side of the pads with water.
  • Carefully scrape off any surface residue.
  • Allow the pads to air-dry completely. Adhesion should renew, enabling reuse for 100+ cycles.

6.2 Storage

  • After each use, reattach the electrode pads to their protective plastic film.
  • Store the device and pads in the provided storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6.3 Charging

  • Charge the device using the USB-C cable when the battery indicator is low.
  • Avoid overcharging the device.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Sensation/Weak Sensation:
    • Ensure pads are firmly attached to clean, dry skin.
    • Check that all wires are securely connected to both the pads and the device.
    • Increase the intensity level gradually using the A+/B+ buttons.
    • Ensure the device is adequately charged.
  • Pads Losing Adhesion:
    • Clean the pads as described in the Maintenance section.
    • Replace pads if cleaning does not restore adhesion after multiple uses.
  • Device Not Turning On:
    • Ensure the device is fully charged.
    • Press and hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds.

8. Safety Precautions

Read all safety warnings and instructions before using this device.

  • Do not use if you have a pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, or other metallic or electronic implanted devices.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant or suspect you might be pregnant.
  • Do not use on areas of skin that are broken, irritated, or numb.
  • Do not use near the heart, on the head, face, or front of the neck.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • The device features an auto-pause function that stops stimulation within 1 second if pads detach, preventing sudden shocks.
  • Use the one-tap emergency stop button for immediate cessation of therapy if needed.
