Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures hygiene and proper function of the feeder:

  • Stainless Steel Bowl: The bowl is dishwasher-safe. Remove it from the base and wash with soap and water or place in the dishwasher.
  • Food Tank and Lid: These parts can be detached and washed with soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before reassembling.
  • Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not submerge the main unit in water.

  • Locate the desiccant bag compartment on the underside of the food tank lid.
  • Remove the old desiccant bag and dispose of it.
  • Insert a new desiccant bag (search for 'PRD-R351-WUS' for compatible replacements).
  • Close the compartment securely.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Feeder not dispensing food.
  • Food tank is empty.
  • Kibble size is too large or irregular.
  • Food jam.
  • Power issue.
  • Refill food tank.
  • Ensure kibble is within 0.2-0.6 inches (4-15 mm) and regular shape.
  • The feeder has jam-fix technology; if persistent, check for obstructions manually after unplugging.
  • Check power adapter connection. Ensure batteries are installed if relying on backup power.
Feeder not connecting to Wi-Fi.
  • Incorrect Wi-Fi band (only 2.4GHz supported).
  • Incorrect Wi-Fi password.
  • Feeder too far from router.
  • Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz network during setup.
  • Double-check Wi-Fi password.
  • Move feeder closer to the Wi-Fi router.
  • Reset feeder and try pairing again.
Inaccurate food intake tracking.
  • Feeder not on a stable surface.
  • External vibrations.
  • Place the feeder on a firm, level surface free from vibrations.
Feeder dispenses food when network is disconnected or power is off. This is expected behavior.

The feeder stores the feeding schedule internally. It will continue to dispense food as scheduled even if the network is disconnected. If batteries are installed, it will also dispense food during a power outage.
