Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

  • No Power / Unit Not Turning On:

Check all power connections, especially the main power plug and the 8-Pin plug for steering wheel controls. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on. If the issue persists, verify the wiring kit compatibility with your vehicle's factory setup.

  • Steering Wheel Controls Not Working:

Confirm the 8-Pin plug from the power harness is correctly connected to the radio's dedicated 8-Pin SWC socket. Ensure the CAN-BUS decoder is properly installed if your vehicle requires it.

  • Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Disconnections:

Ensure your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled and connected to the head unit. Check for any interference from other devices. Try restarting both the head unit and your smartphone.

  • Backup Camera Not Displaying:

Verify the reversing camera's video input (RCA) is securely connected to the head unit. Check the trigger wire connection to the vehicle's reverse lamp power. Ensure the camera itself is receiving power.

  • Poor Sound Quality:

Adjust the DSP settings to optimize audio output. Ensure all speaker wires are correctly connected. If using an external amplifier, verify its connections.

  • GPS Signal Issues:

Ensure the GPS antenna is installed in a location with a clear view of the sky. Check the antenna connection to the head unit.
