6. Operating Instructions
The TSK10091 UPS is designed for user-friendly operation. The LCD display provides critical information about the UPS status.
6.1. LCD Display and Control Panel
The front panel features an LCD display and several control buttons. The LCD provides real-time information such as input/output voltage, battery level, load percentage, and operational status. Refer to the image in Section 4 for button locations.
- ON Button: Press to turn on the UPS.
- OFF Button: Press to turn off the UPS.
- SELECT Button: Use to cycle through different display parameters on the LCD.
- Alarm/Mute Button (often combined with another function): May be used to silence audible alarms.
6.2. Normal Operation
When connected to AC power, the UPS operates in On-Line mode, continuously conditioning the power and charging the batteries. In the event of a power outage, the UPS will automatically switch to battery power without interruption.
6.3. Battery Mode
When AC input power is lost, the UPS will automatically transfer to battery power. An audible alarm may sound, and the LCD will indicate battery mode. The duration of battery backup depends on the connected load. When AC power is restored, the UPS will automatically switch back to AC mode and begin recharging its batteries.
7. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your UPS.
- Battery Care: To maximize battery life, avoid frequent deep discharges. If the UPS is stored for an extended period, recharge it every 3 months for at least 8 hours.
- Cleaning: Keep the UPS clean and free of dust. Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
- Ventilation: Regularly check that the ventilation openings are not obstructed to prevent overheating.
- Environmental Conditions: Operate the UPS within its specified temperature and humidity ranges.
