4. Setup and Installation
This section outlines the steps for assembling and installing your Casanoov VOGEL sliding gate. Professional installation is recommended for optimal safety and performance.
4.1. Site Preparation
- Clear the installation area of any debris, vegetation, or obstacles.
- Ensure the ground is level and stable. A concrete foundation is highly recommended for the gate track and posts.
- Mark the exact positions for the gate posts and the sliding track according to the gate dimensions (390cm width).
4.2. Post Installation (EIFEL 190cm Posts)
The EIFEL 190cm posts are crucial for the gate's stability. They can be installed using two methods:
- Method A (Surface Mount): Secure the post base directly to a solid concrete surface using appropriate anchor bolts. This method is suitable for lighter loads or when a deeper foundation is not feasible.
- Method B (Concrete Embedment): Dig a suitable hole and embed the post into concrete, ensuring it is plumb and level. This method provides maximum stability and is recommended for heavy-duty use. Ensure at least 80kg of concrete is used per post for optimal stability.

4.3. Gate Assembly and Track Installation
Follow the steps below to assemble the gate panels and install the sliding mechanism.
- Assemble the gate panels according to the provided diagrams. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Install the sliding track along the designated path. The track must be perfectly straight and level to ensure smooth gate operation.
- Attach the gate rollers to the bottom of the gate panels.
- Carefully place the assembled gate onto the track, ensuring the rollers are properly seated.
- Install the upper guide rollers and the gate stop mechanisms on the posts. Adjust them to allow for smooth sliding without excessive play.
- Attach the locking mechanism to the gate and the receiving post.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your Casanoov VOGEL sliding gate.
- Cleaning: Clean the aluminum surfaces with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Track and Rollers: Periodically inspect the sliding track for debris (leaves, dirt, small stones) and clear it to prevent obstruction. Lubricate the gate rollers and hinges with a silicone-based lubricant every 6 months or as needed to ensure smooth movement.
- Fasteners: Check all bolts, screws, and anchor points regularly to ensure they are tight and secure. Tighten any loose fasteners.
- General Inspection: Inspect the gate for any signs of corrosion, damage, or misalignment. Address any issues promptly to prevent further damage.
