Setup
1. Charging the Drone Batteries
Connect the drone batteries to the provided USB charging cables. Plug the USB end into a standard USB power adapter (not included). The indicator light on the charger will show charging status and turn off when fully charged. Charging time is approximately 90 minutes per battery. Ensure batteries are fully charged before first use.
2. Installing Remote Control Batteries
Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
3. Preparing the Drone for Flight
- Unfold the Drone Arms: Gently unfold all four arms of the drone until they click into place.
- Install Propeller Guards: For beginner pilots or indoor flight, attach the four protective propeller guards to the drone's arms. This helps prevent damage during minor collisions.
- Install Drone Battery: Insert a charged drone battery into the battery slot on the drone until it is securely in place.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On and Pairing
- Place the drone on a flat, level surface.
- Press and hold the power button on the drone until the indicator lights turn on.
- Turn on the remote control. The drone's lights will flash, indicating it is searching for a signal.
- Push the left joystick (throttle) all the way up, then all the way down. The drone lights will become solid, indicating successful pairing.
2. Calibration
After pairing, perform a gyroscope calibration by pushing both joysticks down and to the right simultaneously. The drone's lights will flash rapidly and then become solid, indicating successful calibration. This ensures stable flight.
3. Take-off and Landing
- One Key Start: Press the One Key Take-off/Landing button on the remote control. The drone will automatically ascend and hover at a stable height.
- Manual Take-off: Gently push both joysticks outwards and downwards to start the propellers. Then, slowly push the left joystick (throttle) upwards to ascend.
- One Key Landing: Press the One Key Take-off/Landing button again. The drone will automatically descend and land gently.
- Manual Landing: Slowly pull the left joystick (throttle) downwards until the drone lands. Once landed, pull both joysticks outwards and downwards to stop the propellers.

4. Flight Modes and Functions
- Altitude Hold: The drone maintains a stable height automatically, making it easier to control and capture steady footage.
- Headless Mode: In this mode, the drone's orientation is relative to the pilot, eliminating the need to adjust its position before flight. Press the Headless Mode button to activate/deactivate.
- 3 Speed Modes: The drone offers Low, Medium, and High-speed settings. Press the speed switch button to cycle through the modes, suitable for different skill levels and environments.
- 360° Flip: Press the 360° Flip button and then move the right joystick in any direction to perform an aerial flip.
- Waypoint Fly: Using the "Redrie Fly" app, draw a flight path on your screen, and the drone will automatically follow the designated route.
- Gesture Selfie: While in the air, make a "V" gesture with your hand to take a photo, or a "Palm" gesture to start recording video.
- Circle Fly: Activate this function via the app, and the drone will fly in a circular path around a designated point.
- Rotation Fly: The drone can perform continuous rotations in the air, adding dynamic movement to your flights.
- Voice Control: Use the "Redrie Fly" app to control the drone with voice commands such as "Fly," "Land," "Forward," "Backward," "Left," "Right," "Photo," or "Record."

5. Camera Operation (1080P HD FPV)
The JY02 drone is equipped with an adjustable 1080P HD camera for capturing aerial photos and videos. Download the "Redrie Fly" app on your smartphone to connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network. This enables FPV (First Person View) transmission, allowing you to see live video feed from the drone directly on your phone. You can control photo and video recording through the app interface.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone and remote control. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
- Propeller Inspection and Replacement: Regularly check propellers for any damage (bends, cracks). Replace damaged propellers immediately using the provided spare blades and screwdriver. Ensure correct propeller installation (A and B types).
- Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not overcharge or over-discharge batteries. If not used for an extended period, charge them to about 50% capacity.
- Storage: When not in use, fold the drone and store it in its carrying case to protect it from dust and damage.
Troubleshooting
