The Classic Thermapen is designed to withstand splashes and spills (IP65 waterproof rating), but it is not recommended for full submersion.

Storage

Store the thermometer with the probe folded into the body to protect the probe and conserve battery life. Keep it in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures.

Battery Life

The Classic Thermapen offers up to 1500 hours of use on a single set of batteries, thanks to its auto on/off feature. Replace batteries when the display becomes dim or the unit fails to power on.

Troubleshooting

  • No Display/Dim Display: Check battery installation. Replace batteries if necessary.
  • Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the probe is inserted into the thickest part of the food and not touching bone or the cooking vessel. Allow 2-3 seconds for the reading to stabilize. If issues persist, contact support.
  • Unit Not Turning On: Ensure the probe is fully unfolded. If it still doesn't turn on, check or replace batteries.
