Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your Darkaway Flush Mount Ceiling Light. It is recommended to have a qualified electrician perform the installation if you are not comfortable with electrical wiring.

1. Turn Off Power: Before starting, ensure the power to the junction box is turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
2. Prepare Mounting Plate: Attach the mounting bracket (if separate) to your junction box. The fixture's base has pre-drilled holes for standard mounting.
3. Connect Wires: Connect the fixture's wires to the corresponding wires from the junction box using the provided wire nuts. Connect the black wire (live) to the black wire, the white wire (neutral) to the white wire, and the ground wire (copper or green) to the ground wire. Secure all connections.
4. Mount Fixture Base: Carefully push the wired fixture base up to the ceiling, aligning the holes with the mounting bracket. Secure it with the provided screws.
5. Install Bulbs: Screw two E26 base bulbs (not included) into the sockets. Do not exceed 60 watts per bulb.
6. Attach Glass Shade and Metal Frame: Place the water ripple glass shade over the bulbs, followed by the metal frame. Secure them to the fixture base using the center rod and finial.
7. Restore Power: Once installation is complete, turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

Operating Instructions

This flush mount ceiling light operates via a standard wall switch (not included). Once installed and power is restored, simply use your existing wall switch to turn the light fixture on or off.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: To clean the fixture, ensure power is off. Wipe the metal frame with a soft, dry cloth. The glass shade can be cleaned with a mild glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
• Bulb Replacement: Turn off power at the circuit breaker. Carefully unscrew the center rod and remove the metal frame and glass shade. Unscrew the old bulbs and replace them with new E26 base bulbs (max 60W each). Reassemble the fixture.
