2. Safety Instructions

• Always ensure the battery is removed before performing any maintenance, cleaning, or when the device is not in use.

4. Setup

1. Charge the Battery:
   • Insert the 18V battery into the fast charger.
   • Connect the charger to a power outlet. The LCD display on the battery will indicate charging status.
   • A full charge for a 5.0 Ah battery typically takes approximately 94 minutes to reach 80%.
2. Insert the Battery:
   • Once charged, remove the battery from the charger.
   • Slide the battery into the designated battery compartment on the main unit until it clicks securely into place.
3. Fill the Fresh Water Tank:
   • Remove the fresh water tank from the main unit.
   • Fill the tank with clean water and, if desired, Kärcher carpet cleaning solution according to the solution's instructions. Do not overfill.
   • Securely reinsert the fresh water tank into the main unit.
4. Attach the Hose and Nozzle:
   • Connect the spray and suction hose to the corresponding ports on the main unit. Ensure a secure connection.
   • Attach the desired nozzle (upholstery or crevice) to the end of the hose until it locks into place.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for effective cleaning of textile surfaces.

1. Preparation:
   • Vacuum the area to be cleaned thoroughly to remove loose dirt and debris.
   • Test the cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area of the textile to ensure colorfastness.
2. Start Cleaning:
   • Turn on the device using the power switch.
   • Hold the nozzle firmly against the surface to be cleaned.
   • Press the spray trigger to apply cleaning solution while simultaneously moving the nozzle slowly over the surface. The device will spray solution and immediately suction it back, along with the dirt.
   • Overlap passes slightly to ensure even cleaning.

3. Rinsing (Optional):
   • For heavily soiled areas or to remove residual cleaning solution, empty the fresh water tank and refill it with clean water only.
   • Repeat the cleaning process with just water to rinse the textile.
4. Self-Cleaning Function:
   • After use, the device features a self-cleaning function to flush out the hose and internal components.
   • Refer to the device's specific instructions for activating this function, typically by placing the nozzle into a designated port and running the device with clean water.

5. Finishing:
   • Turn off the device.

6. Maintenance

1. Empty and Clean Waste Water Tank:
   • After each use, remove the waste water tank and empty its contents.

2. Clean Fresh Water Tank:

3. Clean Nozzles and Hose:
