5. Maintenance
5.1 Self-Clean Function
Regularly use the self-clean function to remove mineral deposits and maintain optimal performance:
- Fill the water tank to the 'MAX' line with water.
- Plug in the iron and set the temperature to the highest setting.
- Once the iron reaches temperature, unplug it and hold it horizontally over a sink.
- Press and hold the self-clean button (refer to product diagram for location). Hot water and steam will flush out mineral deposits.
- Release the button when the tank is empty. Repeat if necessary.
5.2 Anti-Calc System
The integrated anti-calc system helps prevent limescale buildup. For best results, always use distilled or purified water.
5.3 Anti-Drip System
The anti-drip system prevents water from leaking from the soleplate when the iron is not hot enough for steam. If you notice dripping, ensure the iron has reached the correct temperature for your selected fabric.
5.4 Cleaning the Soleplate
To clean the ceramic soleplate, allow the iron to cool completely. Wipe the soleplate with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the surface.
