3. Setup Guide
3.1 Charging the Batteries
The Skymaker MN82 comes with two 7.4V 1500mAh LiPo batteries. Ensure batteries are fully charged before first use.
- Connect the 2-in-1 USB charging cable to a USB power adapter (not included, 5V/2A recommended).
- Connect one or both 7.4V 1500mAh LiPo batteries to the charging cable.
- The indicator light on the charging cable will illuminate during charging and turn off or change color when charging is complete (refer to charger specific instructions if available).
- Charging time is approximately 2-3 hours per battery. Do not leave batteries unattended while charging.
3.2 Installing Batteries in the RC Crawler
- Locate the battery compartment on the RC crawler. This is typically under the hood or chassis.
- Carefully open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert a fully charged 7.4V 1500mAh LiPo battery into the compartment.
- Connect the battery connector to the vehicle's power connector. Ensure correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.3 Installing Batteries in the Remote Control
The remote control typically requires AA batteries (not included).
- Open the battery cover on the back of the remote control.
- Insert the required AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery cover securely.
3.4 Pairing the Remote Control with the RC Crawler
The 2.4GHz radio system allows for multiple RC cars to operate without interference.
- Ensure both the RC crawler and the remote control have fresh or fully charged batteries installed.
- Turn on the RC crawler first using its power switch.
- Turn on the remote control.
- The remote control and crawler should automatically pair. An indicator light on the remote control will typically stop flashing and remain solid once paired.
- If pairing fails, turn off both devices and repeat the process.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Controls
- Throttle Trigger: Pull the trigger to move forward, push it away from you to brake or reverse.
- Steering Wheel: Turn the wheel left to steer the vehicle left, turn right to steer right.
- Trim Adjustments: Use the steering trim dial on the remote to adjust the steering so the vehicle drives straight when the steering wheel is centered. Use the throttle trim if the vehicle moves slightly without throttle input.
4.2 Driving Tips
- Start Slowly: Begin by practicing in an open, flat area to get accustomed to the controls.
- Terrain Adaptability: The MN82 is designed for various terrains including sand, grass, rocks, and muddy roads. Adjust your speed and steering input according to the surface.
- Off-Road Driving: When tackling obstacles or uneven terrain, use controlled throttle and steering inputs. Avoid sudden movements that could cause the vehicle to flip.
- Battery Life: Expect approximately 15-20 minutes of run time per 1500mAh battery, depending on driving style and terrain.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will extend the life and performance of your RC crawler.
- Cleaning: After each use, especially in dirty or dusty conditions, clean the vehicle. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dirt and debris from the chassis, wheels, and suspension components. Avoid using water directly on electronic parts.
- Battery Care:
- Always disconnect batteries from the vehicle when not in use.
- Store LiPo batteries in a cool, dry place, ideally in a LiPo-safe bag.
- Do not store fully charged or fully discharged batteries for extended periods. Charge them to a storage voltage (around 3.8V per cell) if storing for more than a few days.
- Inspections: Periodically check for loose screws, damaged wires, or worn parts. Tighten any loose fasteners.
- Lubrication: Apply a small amount of appropriate lubricant to moving parts like drive shafts and gears as needed, avoiding excessive application that could attract dirt.
- Drive Shafts: The included metal drive shafts can be used to replace the standard ones for enhanced durability. Refer to a detailed assembly guide or professional assistance for installation if unsure.
