Product Overview

The TORCHSTAR 3 Inch 5CCT LED Pinhole Recessed Lights are designed to provide precise, layered illumination with an ultra-narrow 30° beam angle. These IC-rated, dimmable, and anti-glare fixtures offer five selectable color temperatures (2700K-5000K) to suit various lighting needs and preferences. They are ideal for enhancing architectural features, creating artistic light patterns, and providing comfortable, focused lighting in residential and commercial spaces.

Installation Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before beginning installation. Ensure power is turned off at the circuit breaker before wiring.

Tools Required:

• Pencil
• Measuring Tape
• Drywall Saw or Hole Saw
• Wire Strippers
• Screwdriver
• Safety Glasses
• Gloves

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the Opening: Use the provided template to mark the cut-out hole size (3 inches / 75mm) on the ceiling. Carefully cut the hole using a drywall saw or hole saw.

2. Wire the J-Box: Open the junction box (J-Box) cover. Connect the household wiring to the J-Box wires according to local electrical codes (typically black to black, white to white, ground to ground). Secure connections with wire nuts. Close the J-Box cover.

3. Select Color Temperature: IMPORTANT: Before placing the J-Box into the ceiling, select your desired color temperature (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K) using the switch located on the J-Box. Once installed, this switch will be inaccessible.
4. Insert J-Box: Carefully push the wired J-Box through the cut-out hole into the ceiling cavity.
5. Install the Light Fixture: Connect the light fixture's cable to the J-Box cable. Bend the spring clips on the light fixture upwards and push the light into the ceiling hole. The spring clips will secure the fixture in place.

Removal Instructions:

To remove the light, gently squeeze the spring clips on the sides of the fixture and pull the light out of the ceiling. Disconnect the cable from the J-Box.

Operating Instructions

These TORCHSTAR recessed lights are designed for simple operation once installed.

Color Temperature Selection:

As noted in the installation section, the color temperature (CCT) is selected via a switch on the J-Box before installation. Ensure you choose your preferred CCT (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K) during setup.

Dimming Function:

The lights are 0-100% dimmable. To utilize the dimming feature, ensure you have a compatible dimmer switch installed in your electrical circuit. Adjust the dimmer switch to achieve your desired brightness level. For optimal performance, use recommended dimmer models such as Lutron (OVCL-153PR-WH, CTCL-153PDH-WH, TGCL-153PH-WH, MACL-153MH-WH, P-PKG1W-WH-R), Leviton (R62-06674-PDW, R12-06672-1LW, R50-IPL06-10M), or Eaton (SAL06P-LA-K).

Maintenance

These LED recessed lights are designed for long-term, maintenance-free operation. However, general care can help preserve their appearance.

• Cleaning: Ensure power is off before cleaning. Use a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth to wipe the surface of the light fixture. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
• Bulb Replacement: The integrated LED light source is designed for a long lifespan (approximately 50,000 hours) and is not user-replaceable. If the light fails, the entire fixture will need to be replaced.
