5. Setup Guide

5.1 Initial Plug-in

Insert the RODOT Ewelink 16A WiFi Smart Plug into a standard wall outlet. Ensure it is securely plugged in. The smart plug is designed to be compact, allowing two units to be plugged into a standard duplex outlet without obstructing the adjacent socket.

5.2 Ewelink App Installation

1. Download the Ewelink App from your smartphone's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS).
2. Open the app and register for a new account or log in if you already have one.

5.3 Device Pairing (Wi-Fi)

To add your smart plug to the Ewelink App:

1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The smart plug only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
2. Press and hold the pairing button on the smart plug for more than 5 seconds until the LED inside the button blinks fast twice and then slow once. This indicates it has entered pairing mode.
3. Open the Ewelink App. Tap the "Add" button or the "+" icon in the top right corner of the screen.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to search for and add the device. You may need to confirm your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
5. Once found, select the device and complete the pairing process. You can rename the device for easier identification (e.g., "Living Room Lamp").

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Manual Control

Each outlet on the smart plug can be manually turned on or off by pressing the corresponding button on the device. The red LED indicator will show the status of each channel.

6.2 App Control

Once paired, you can control the smart plug remotely using the Ewelink App from anywhere with an internet connection. The app allows you to turn each channel on/off independently.
