The compact 4-in-1 steam cleaner Kärcher SC 1 Multi & Up offers thorough cleaning without chemicals and is ideal for quick, deep cleaning around the house. This versatile steam device can be used both as a multifunctional hand steam cleaner, or, thanks to the included EasyFix Large floor nozzle, as a flexible 3-in-1 steam mop for floor cleaning. With the ability to work in three different positions – top, middle and bottom – this steam cleaner adapts perfectly to your specific cleaning needs. With intensive floor cleaning with this Kärcher steam cleaner, up to 99.999% of viruses* and 99.99% of all household bacteria** are removed from hard surfaces. The compact and lightweight design of only 1.6 kg makes it easy to use and takes up little storage space. The SC 1 Multi & Up steam cleaner is ready to use in just 30 seconds, and the detachable water tank can be easily refilled during cleaning without breaks or long waiting times. Thanks to the replaceable descaling cartridge, the water is automatically descaled, which ensures a five times longer life of the device. The LED indicator with control panel makes operation easy and shows the different modes such as warm-up, ready to use, steam mode and cartridge replacement. The SC 1 Multi & Up comes with the EasyFix Large floor nozzle, including two extension tubes (2 x 0.5 m), a descaling pattern, a hand nozzle, a cover for the hand nozzle and a universal floor cloth EasyFix Large – everything you need for efficient and hygienic cleaning of your floors and hard surfaces.

Setup Guide

1. Assemble the Extension Tubes (for floor cleaning): Connect the two extension tubes to each other, then attach one end to the main steam cleaner unit and the other end to the EasyFix Large Floor Nozzle. Ensure they click securely into place.
2. Attach the Microfibre Floor Cloth: Place the EasyFix Large microfibre floor cloth onto the floor nozzle, ensuring it is securely attached via the hook-and-loop system.
3. Install Descaling Cartridge: The descaling cartridge is pre-installed or needs to be inserted into its designated slot in the water tank. This helps prolong the life of your appliance.
4. Fill the Water Tank: Open the water tank cap and fill the tank with clean tap water. The tank has a capacity of 0.2 liters. Do not overfill. Close the cap securely.
5. Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (240V). The LED indicator will show the warm-up status.

Operating Your Steam Cleaner

Getting Started

Once plugged in, the appliance will begin to heat up. The warm-up time is approximately 30 seconds. The LED indicator will change to signal when the steam cleaner is ready for use.

Using as a Floor Mop

1. Ensure the extension tubes and floor nozzle are securely attached.
2. Hold the handle firmly and press the steam trigger to release steam.
3. Move the floor nozzle slowly and evenly over the hard floor surface. For stubborn dirt, hold the nozzle over the area for a few seconds to allow the steam to penetrate.
4. The EasyFix Large floor nozzle allows for flexible movement, reaching under furniture and into corners.

Using as a Handheld Cleaner

1. Detach the extension tubes and floor nozzle from the main unit.
2. Attach the hand nozzle directly to the main steam cleaner unit. You can also attach the cover for the hand nozzle for specific cleaning tasks.
3. Press the steam trigger to release steam.
4. Use the handheld unit for cleaning smaller surfaces, fixtures, tiles, and hard-to-reach areas.

Refilling the Water Tank

The water tank is detachable and can be refilled at any time during operation without significant interruption. Simply unplug the unit, open the tank cap, refill with clean tap water, and close securely before resuming use.

Care and Maintenance

• Cleaning the Appliance: After each use, unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
• Cleaning Accessories: The microfibre floor cloth can be machine washed. Other nozzles and attachments can be rinsed under water and air-dried.
• Descaling Cartridge: The integrated descaling cartridge automatically removes lime. The LED indicator will signal when the cartridge needs replacement. Follow the instructions provided with the replacement cartridge for proper installation.
• Storage: Store the appliance and its accessories in a dry, cool place, out of direct sunlight and away from extreme temperatures.
