Setup Instructions
Refer to the back of the device for button locations as described in the Product Overview.
- Initial Power On: Locate the sliding switch on the back of the device and slide it to the 'ON' position to power on the clock.
- Set Time and Date:
- Long press the SET button to enter setting mode.
- The setting sequence is: HOUR → MINUTE → YEAR → MONTH → DATE.
- Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the values.
- Press SET again to confirm each setting and move to the next.
- Change Temperature Unit (℃/℉): Press the UP or DOWN button briefly to switch between Celsius (℃) and Fahrenheit (℉).
- Select Backlight Color: Slide the Green/Blue On/Off switch on the back of the product to toggle between green and blue backlight colors.
Operating Instructions
- Automatic Backlight: The clock's backlight will automatically illuminate in green or blue when the car is driving at night. It will automatically turn off approximately 10 minutes after the car stops.
- Manual Backlight Activation: Press the Backlit Key on the back of the device to temporarily turn on the backlight for 5 seconds.
- Display Information: The LCD screen continuously displays the current time, date, temperature, and humidity.
Power Supply
- Solar Charging: The integrated solar panel charges the internal battery when exposed to sunlight. Ensure the solar panel is not obstructed for efficient charging.
- Type-C Cable Charging: For continuous power or faster charging, connect a Type-C cable (DC 5V, not included) to the designated port on the back of the clock. When powered via Type-C, the backlight will remain constantly on.
Installation
- Choose a suitable, flat, and clean surface on your car's dashboard where the clock will be easily visible and the solar panel can receive adequate light.
- Clean the chosen area thoroughly to remove any dust or grease.
- Peel off the protective film from one side of the double-sided adhesive tape and apply it firmly to the bottom of the clock.
- Peel off the protective film from the other side of the adhesive tape and press the clock firmly onto the prepared dashboard surface. Hold for a few seconds to ensure a strong bond.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the display and the body of the clock. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the surface or internal components.
- Solar Panel: Periodically check and clean the solar panel to ensure it is free from dust, dirt, or obstructions, which can hinder charging efficiency.
- Temperature Extremes: While designed for automotive use, prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures (beyond specified operating ranges) may affect performance and battery life.
Troubleshooting
- Clock does not turn on or display is blank:
- Ensure the sliding power switch on the back is in the 'ON' position. Check if the device has sufficient charge by exposing the solar panel to light or connecting a Type-C charging cable.
- Backlight does not activate automatically at night:
- Verify that the light sensor (usually located near the display) is not obstructed. Ensure the clock is in an environment dark enough to trigger the automatic backlight.
- Time or Date is incorrect:
- Refer to the 'Set Time and Date' section under Setup Instructions to correctly adjust the time and calendar settings.
- Temperature or Humidity readings seem inaccurate:
- Ensure the clock is not placed directly in front of air vents (heating or cooling) or in direct sunlight for prolonged periods, which can affect sensor accuracy. Allow the device to stabilize in ambient conditions.
- Backlight is always on when not desired:
- If the clock is connected via a Type-C charging cable, the backlight will remain constantly on. Disconnect the cable if you prefer the automatic night display function.
