4. Setup and Installation
The Philips Solar Outdoor Security LED Light is designed for easy, wire-free installation.
4.1 Choosing an Installation Location

- The light unit and solar panel are connected by a 5-meter cable, allowing flexible placement of the solar panel in a sunny spot, even if the light unit is in a shaded area.

5. Operating Instructions
Your Philips Solar Outdoor Security LED Light features a PIR motion sensor and can be controlled via an integrated switch or the included remote control.
5.1 Initial Activation and Charging
Upon first use, ensure the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight for at least 24 hours to fully charge the internal 2000mAh battery. The light will automatically activate at dusk once charged.
5.2 Lighting Modes
The light offers three distinct operating modes:
- Sensor Mode: The light remains off until motion is detected. Upon detection, it illuminates at 100% brightness (800 lumens) for 20 seconds, then turns off.
- Dim + Sensor Mode: The light stays on at a low brightness (2% / 16 lumens). When motion is detected, it switches to 100% brightness (800 lumens) for 20 seconds, then returns to dim mode. Tip: This mode automatically switches to Sensor Mode after 6 hours.
- Dim Mode: The light remains constantly on at 10% brightness (80 lumens) throughout the night. Tip: This mode automatically switches to Sensor Mode after 4 hours.

5.3 Controlling the Light
The light can be controlled using the physical switch on the unit or the remote control.
Using the Integrated Switch:
When first powered on, the light is in a deactivated state. Press the switch sequentially to cycle through the modes:
- Press once: Sensor Mode
- Press twice: Dim + Sensor Mode
- Press three times: Dim Mode
- Press four times: Off
Using the Remote Control:
The remote control provides convenient access to all functions within a 5-meter range.
- ON button: Turns on the light.
- OFF button: Turns off the light.
- '1' button: Activates Sensor Mode.
