Your guide to efficient lawn maintenance

1. Safety Information

Always read and understand all instructions before operating the lawn sweeper. Failure to follow safety guidelines may result in injury or property damage.

  • Operator Safety: Ensure only trained individuals operate the towing vehicle and sweeper. Keep children and pets away from the operating area.
  • Vehicle Compatibility: Use with a riding mower or tractor equipped with a suitable hitch.
  • Terrain: Operate on level ground. Avoid steep slopes or uneven terrain that could cause tipping or loss of control.
  • Debris: Clear the area of large objects (rocks, branches) that could damage the sweeper or be thrown.
  • Speed: Operate at a safe, slow speed. Excessive speed can reduce sweeping effectiveness and increase risk of accidents.
  • Maintenance: Always turn off the towing vehicle and engage the parking brake before performing any adjustments or maintenance.

4.2. Adjusting Brush Height

The sweeper features a Twist-Lock Height Adjustment lever. Adjust the brush height so that the brushes just make contact with the top of the grass or debris. For heavier debris like leaves, a lower setting may be more effective. For light thatch or grass clippings, a higher setting might suffice. The indexed settings help maintain consistent performance.

4.3. Sweeping Your Lawn

Drive your towing vehicle at a consistent, moderate speed. Overlap your passes slightly to ensure complete coverage. The high-velocity brushes will continuously pick up leaves, grass clippings, pine needles, and thatch, depositing them into the hamper.

4.4. Emptying the Hamper

When the hamper is full, drive to your desired dumping location. Use the included pull-rope with an ergonomic T-handle to empty the hamper directly from the seat of your tractor. This allows for quick and convenient disposal of collected material.
