5. Maintenance

5.1 Backup Battery

The alarm siren (base station) includes an 8-hour backup battery to ensure continuous protection during power outages. Ensure the base station is always connected to power to keep the backup battery charged.

5.2 Sensor Batteries

The door/window sensors are powered by lithium batteries (included). The average battery life is approximately 6 months. Replace batteries promptly when the app indicates a low battery status to ensure optimal performance.

5.3 Cleaning

Clean the camera lens and sensor surfaces periodically with a soft, dry cloth to maintain clear visibility and accurate detection. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Alarm Siren Volume: If the 120dB siren does not seem loud enough, ensure it is placed in an open area and not obstructed. While rated at 120dB, perceived loudness can vary based on environment.
  • Camera Offline: Verify that the camera is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Check your router settings and ensure the camera is within Wi-Fi range. Restarting the camera and router may resolve connectivity issues.
  • Sensors Not Triggering Alarm: Ensure the door/window sensors are correctly installed with the two parts aligned and within the specified gap. Check the battery status of the sensors in the app. Re-pair the sensor if necessary.
  • Poor Sensor Adhesive: If the included adhesive for the sensors does not hold securely, consider using a stronger, commercially available adhesive suitable for your surface type.
  • No Notifications: Check your smartphone's notification settings for the "Smart Life" app to ensure notifications are enabled. Verify your phone has an active internet connection.
