This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your device.

• Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto: Seamlessly connect your smartphone wirelessly to access navigation, calls, music, and voice assistants (Siri/Google Assistant) directly from the screen.

4. Setup and Installation

The Carpuride W603 offers flexible installation options to suit various motorcycle handlebars. Follow these steps for proper mounting and wiring.

4.1. Mounting the Device

Two primary mounting methods are available: Ring Mount and Square Mount.

4.1.1. Ring Mount Installation

1. Select the appropriate silicone gasket based on your motorcycle's handlebar diameter (12mm, 18mm, 22mm, or 28mm). Attach it to the metal mounting bracket.
2. Clamp the connecting rod onto the metal mounting bracket securely.
3. Insert the device into the mount and adjust its position as desired. Tighten the adjustment ring to secure it.
4. Ensure the installation is complete and stable.

4.1.2. Square Mount Installation

1. Choose the suitable silicone gasket based on your motorcycle's handlebar diameter. For diameters up to 12mm or 18mm, use the provided gaskets. If not applicable, use up to 22mm.
2. Align and tighten the screws and nuts of the bracket to securely fasten it to the motorcycle handlebar.
3. Align the grooves on the connection point of the motorcycle bracket and insert the device. Then, secure it with screws.
4. Ensure the installation is complete and stable.

4.2. Wiring the Device

The Carpuride W603 can be powered via the motorcycle battery or a USB cable.

4.2.1. Power Cable Connection (Motorcycle Battery)

Connect the red power cable to the positive terminal of your motorcycle battery and the black ground cable to the negative terminal. Ensure the output voltage and current are 12V, 1A.

4.2.2. USB Cable Connection

If using a USB cable, ensure the voltage and current are greater than 5V, 2.5A. Connect the USB cable to a suitable power source on your motorcycle.

5. Operating Instructions

Learn how to use the Carpuride W603 for seamless connectivity and control.

5.1. Wireless CarPlay Connection

1. Turn on the Carpuride W603.
2. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and search for the device named "carpuride-xxxx" to pair.
3. Confirm the pairing request on both devices.
4. Once connected, CarPlay will launch automatically on the W603 screen.

5.2. Wireless Android Auto Connection

1. Turn on the Carpuride W603.
2. On your Android phone, open the Android Auto app and search for available devices.
3. Select "carpuride-xxxx" from the list and confirm the pairing.
4. Once connected, Android Auto will launch automatically on the W603 screen.

5.3. BT Audio Connection

1. Connect your phone to your Bluetooth headset or helmet.
2. After your phone is connected to the W603 via Bluetooth, open CarPlay or Android Auto.
3. Audio will now play through your BT headset/helmet, and you can make/receive calls.

Note: Ensure your Bluetooth headset or helmet has microphones for phone calls and voice control.

5.4. Wired Controller Functions

The wired controller provides convenient access to key functions without touching the screen.

• Cycle Button: Short press to answer an incoming call. Press and hold for 5 seconds to turn the device on/off.
• Phone Button: Short press to hang up a call.
• Home Button:
  • When connected to Apple CarPlay, short press to switch between the main screen and the CarPlay interface.
  • Press and hold for 5 seconds to lock the screen (disables touch function). This prevents accidental touches in heavy rain. Hold for another 5 seconds to unlock.

Note: When using an Android phone connected to the Carpuride W603, the cycle button does not support answering incoming calls.

5.5. Voice Control (Siri/Google Assistant)

Utilize voice commands for hands-free operation:

• Say "Hey Siri" or "OK Google" to activate your voice assistant.
• Give commands for navigation, making calls, playing music, sending messages, and more.

5.6. Navigation

Access your preferred navigation apps directly on the W603 screen:

• Supported apps include Apple Maps, Waze, Google Maps, HERE, and Sygic.
• Receive turn-by-turn directions and real-time traffic updates.

5.7. Music Playback

• Play music from your smartphone through the CarPlay or Android Auto interface.
• Control playback (play, pause, skip) directly from the W603 screen or wired controller.

6. Compatibility

To ensure seamless wireless CarPlay or Android Auto functionality, please review the following compatibility requirements for your smartphone:

6.1. CarPlay Requirements

• An iPhone with iOS 6 or higher.
• The CarPlay system and iPhone's voice system must be enabled.
• Please ensure Siri is activated.

6.2. Android Auto Requirements

• A phone that supports 5GHz WLAN.
• A phone with Android 11 or higher.
• A phone that supports the Android Auto app.
• Please update to the latest version of Android Auto.

6.3. Incompatible Phone Models (Android)

Please note that the following Android phone models are known to have compatibility issues or are not perfectly compatible with the Carpuride W603:

• OnePlus Nord 2T, OnePlus Nord CE2 5G, Oppo CPH2161, Oppo A16S, Oppo Reno 2, Oppo RENOZ 2, Samsung S23, Samsung Note 20, Samsung S20, Samsung m22, Samsung S23 Ultra, Galaxy A20 (model SM-A205g), Huawei p30, Huawei p30 Pro, Huawei P40 Pro, Huawei P20 Pro, Huawei P20, Huawei P30 lite MAR-LX1A, Huawei Mate 20, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Huawei P smart 2019 - POT-LX1, Huawei nova 5t, Huawei MATE LITE 10, Honor 90, Xiaomi 11 lite, Xiaomi 12 Pro, redmi 9, Xiaomi 9.

Important: It is not perfectly compatible with Samsung Note and S-series. Please ensure your phone supports wireless CarPlay or wireless Android Auto before purchase.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Carpuride W603, please refer to the following general troubleshooting tips:

• No Power: Ensure the power cables are securely connected and the motorcycle battery provides sufficient voltage (12V). If using USB, check the power source and cable.
• Connection Issues (CarPlay/Android Auto):
  • Verify your phone meets the compatibility requirements (iOS version, Android version, 5GHz WLAN support).
  • Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone.
  • Try forgetting the device in your phone's Bluetooth settings and re-pairing.
  • Restart both the W603 and your smartphone.
• No Audio: Ensure the W603 is paired with your Bluetooth headset/helmet. Check the volume levels on both the W603 and your headset. Confirm your headset has a microphone for calls.
• Screen Unresponsive/Frozen: Try pressing and holding the Home button on the wired controller for 5 seconds to lock/unlock the screen. If unresponsive, power cycle the device.
• Poor Screen Visibility in Sunlight: The device features automatic brightness adjustment. Ensure the light sensor is not obstructed. The 1000 Nit brightness is designed for good visibility, but extreme direct sunlight can still affect readability.

9. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Carpuride W603, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the screen and device body. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surface.
• Water Resistance: The device is IP67 waterproof. While it can withstand rain and splashes, avoid submerging it in water for extended periods. Ensure all cable connections are secure to maintain water resistance.
• Temperature: Operate the device within its specified temperature range (-200C to 800C). Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold when not in use.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Software Updates: Periodically check for software updates from Carpuride to ensure the best performance and compatibility. Updates are typically performed via TF card.
