4.2 Time Zone Setting

On the back of the clock, locate the time zone switch. Set it to your desired U.S. time zone:

  • P: Pacific Time
  • M: Mountain Time
  • C: Central Time
  • E: Eastern Time

4.3 Daylight Saving Time (DST) Setting

Locate the DST switch on the back of the clock.

  • Set the switch to "ON" to enable automatic DST adjustments.
  • Set the switch to "OFF" if your region does not observe DST.

4.4 Atomic Signal Synchronization

After battery installation and setting the time zone/DST, the clock will attempt to receive the WWVB atomic signal. This process can take several minutes to overnight, depending on your location and environmental conditions. For optimal reception, place the clock near a window, away from electronic devices that may cause interference.

Once the clock has successfully synchronized with the WWVB signal, it will display the correct time for your selected time zone. The clock features a silent, non-ticking quartz movement, ensuring a quiet environment. The atomic receiver will continue to receive daily updates to maintain accuracy.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Replacement

When the clock hands stop moving or the time becomes inaccurate, it is time to replace the battery. Follow the steps in Section 4.1 for battery installation. Always use a fresh AA alkaline battery.

6.2 Cleaning

To clean the clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or the clear glass front cover.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Clock hands do not move or display incorrect time.Low battery, incorrect battery installation, or poor signal reception.Replace the battery with a fresh AA alkaline battery. Ensure correct polarity. Relocate the clock to an area with better signal reception (e.g., near a window, away from electronics).
Clock does not adjust for Daylight Saving Time.DST switch is set to "OFF" or poor signal reception.Ensure the DST switch on the back of the clock is set to "ON". Verify signal reception.
Clock hands spin continuously or stop at 12:00.Clock is searching for the WWVB signal or has lost synchronization.Allow up to 24 hours for the clock to acquire the signal. Ensure the clock is in an optimal location for reception. If issues persist, remove the battery for 5 minutes, then reinsert it to restart the synchronization process.
