Package Contents

Before beginning assembly, please ensure all parts are present and undamaged. If any parts are missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble or operate the heater. Contact customer support immediately.

Assembly Instructions

Assembly typically takes approximately 50 minutes. It is recommended to have two people for certain steps. Follow these steps carefully.

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, flat surface to identify each component.
  2. Assemble Base: Attach the base panels together using the provided screws and nuts. Ensure the wheel assembly is correctly oriented.
  3. Install Wheels: Securely attach the integrated casters to the base. These wheels allow for smooth movement of the heater.

  4. Attach Main Body: Connect the main body frame to the assembled base.
  5. Insert Quartz Glass Tube: Carefully slide the quartz glass tube into its designated position within the heater's frame. Handle with care to avoid breakage.

  6. Install Protective Nets: Secure the protective nets around the glass tube.
  7. Mount Reflector: Attach the top reflector assembly to the upper part of the heater.

  8. Connect Gas Hose: Connect the gas hose from the heater to the regulator. Ensure all connections are tight.
  9. Leak Test: Before connecting the propane tank, perform a leak test on all gas connections using a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak. Tighten connections or replace parts as necessary.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to safely operate your FOOWIN Patio Heater.

  1. Place Propane Tank: Open the magnetic door on the base of the heater. Place a standard 20 lb propane tank (not included) inside the tank compartment.

  2. Connect Propane Tank: Connect the regulator hose to the propane tank valve. Hand-tighten firmly.
  3. Open Gas Valve: Slowly turn the propane tank valve counter-clockwise to the fully open position.
  4. Ignition:
    • Locate the igniter button and control knob on the heater's control panel.
    • Push and hold the control knob in the "PILOT" position.
    • While holding the knob, press the igniter button repeatedly until the pilot flame ignites. You should see a small flame.
    • Continue to hold the control knob for 15-30 seconds after ignition to allow the thermocouple to heat up.
    • Release the control knob. If the pilot flame goes out, repeat the ignition process.

  5. Main Burner Operation: Once the pilot flame is stable, turn the control knob to the "LOW" position, then slowly rotate it counter-clockwise to the desired heat setting (LOW to HIGH). The main burner flame will ignite.
  6. Adjust Heat: Adjust the control knob to achieve the desired heat output. The heater provides 48,000 BTU of heat, spreading warmth evenly within approximately 130 square feet.

  7. To Turn Off: Turn the control knob to the "OFF" position. Close the valve on the propane tank.
